Ouch. It's the right decision

Agree. The manager should manage based on the conditions of that particular game. Who's hot, who's not, handedness, weather, etcetcetc.

Can't figure out why a guy who does nothing well but walk would be the #2 hitter in this lineup. I'd much rather have Mauer, Polanco, or Kepler. Hell, maybe even Roasario. He's capable of an XBH once in a while.

I'll hear: Left handed pitcher. Grossman isn't good against any pitcher.

Either Dozier's deaf or our outfield has no voice because he never gives up a pop fly to the outfield

Or maybe it's a "I can catch better than you so shut up" kinda thing

Really irritating watching this team try and hit with RISP. Now 1-20 in this series.

Anytime an opposing needs a K, they hand them over on a silver platter by swinging at junk well outside of the strike zone.

The Twins young OF hitting 7-8-9 today.

Ouch. It's the right decision - Buxton has been awful while Kepler and Rosario struggle against LHP - but still ouch.

I suspect Molitor is thinking about how he can get runners on in front of Dozier.

Alternating L & R batters, like it's supposed to be. Makes it more difficult for the opposing manager to use his bullpen.

But... odd number of batters in line up that loops... How can... alternate... oh. I see. Switch hitters defy logic.

Ugh... they're 1 for 21 with RISP in this series. This looks like last year's offense.

Which is exactly why they should have put the bunt down and moved runners over.  I'm not suggesting this needs to always be a bunt situation, but when you are not hitting it is a no brainer.

Molly needs to start bunting more. He's going to leave a lot of runs on the bases this year by letting some of these kids swing away with nobody out.

No excuse to repeatedly leave guys guys in scoring position with no outs by racking up Ks. If the baseball IQ isn't there, don't reward them by letting them swing away.

Buxton strikes out once again.

I though his last swing looked even longer than normal.  Especially odd considering an inside pitch.

I feel bad for Buxton. Nothing is clicking at the plate right now.

I feel bad for him too.  Embarrassed for him.  As a fan, I'm embarrassed that our team has a guy going through this.  I am wondering if the Twins are going to sit him, or if he's going to make history....maybe he already has?  I think at this point Grossman/DanSan are going to have to platoon in the outfield.  Buxton's going to have to ride the pine for a few months, gradually be brought along, and maybe he'll find his stroke in August.   The Twins are hurting the team, Buxton, and the fans every time they put him in that batter's box.  Maybe have a pitcher hit and have a DH hit for Bux?

Disagree. It's only the second inning and only the fifth game of the season. A feature of this lineup is that they have decent threats 1-9. Don't give away outs and the other thing is getting a guy to third with one out is far from a guarantee of getting even one run home.
