spinowner Provisional Member Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 Lineups: TBA (Thanks in advance to whichever mod inserts them here.) Starting pitchers:Twins: Kyle Gibson (RHP) 2-5, 4.82Rangers: Cole Hamels (LHP) 9-2, 2.93 Expected weather conditions:Temperature: 94FDew Point: 70FHeat Index: 98FSkies: Partly cloudyWind: SSW 11 Guideline number 4 in Chief's recommendations for game threads is: We like positivity. However, what is foremost in my mind today is the needless killings of innocent people that have taken place in these two two-city metropolitan areas during recent days and I think it would be totally remiss on my part to disregard that. While baseball, and entertainment in general, has an important place in our lives I'll suggest that we try to maintain a proper perspective and remember those most directly affected by these events. That said, here's hoping that our favorite team's good play of the last week can continue tonight. Go Twins!
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 Well....can they get to Hamels again? Can Gibby keep them off balance again?

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 We never buy actual peaches. Canned peaches... All the time. A guy at work brought in a box of peaches and told everyone to take as many as they wanted. I grabbed 4 Just had one Next time I'm gonna wait for the guy to bring in a box of the sugary syrup.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Buxton won't be long for this world with how he runs into fences
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 What the heck happened to Buxton there??
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 That ball's gotta be caught.
S. Verified Member Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Buxton looks like he ****ed something up bad. This is not good
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 That did not look good for Buxton.... great.
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Just a guess.....but totally looked like something with the knee.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Oh gosh... now we'll have to see Santana in CF for the rest of the year, I bet...

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Polanco? Walker? Boshers? Berrios? If Buxton ends up on the D.L?
wavedog Verified Member Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Yes, this does not look good - possible serious injury. That being said - that ball could have been caught without him jumping. Easy for me to say from my couch.
dgwills Provisional Member Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Damn! Just was going to start watching the game and it's already a disaster.
S. Verified Member Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 I hate to say it, but I'm really starting to feel like it might be in our best interest to be shopping Buxton this offseason, at the very least to see what sort of return we could get.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 http://replygif.net/i/132.gifThis is the correct response to D Santana in CF.
