That's the worst part. Much of it has nothing to do with talent. It's just exceptionally stupid baseball.

This is why I blame coach Molitor for part of the Twins' terribleness. I don't get how this team has been so bad at the basics of baseball.

I've been having some foot problems, finally last week I thought I'd visit a podiatrist.  He examined me, and said I'd developed some "Malalignment" of my feet...whatever the heck that is.  He prescribed some orthopedic shoes.

 

I was skeptical, and even argued with the doc about it, but it seems to have helped.  At the follow up appointment today, I marched right into his office, stood in front of his desk, and told him "I stand corrected."

Molitor has said a few times "you expect most of the developing to happen in the minor leagues... before they get here." And he has a pt I think.

Agreed. It plays into the total system failure bit too. They are terrible fundamentally, which is an indictment of the farm system too. A lot of this stuff is mind bogglingly stupid baseball that the skipper doesn't appear to hold anyone accountable for. There's a theme with that.

Bert's contract is for 100 games each season, and he picks most of them.

 

Marney's season ends with the 20th pouty post-loss interview or the 10th collateral damage gatorade bath, whichever comes first...
