Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 Didn't most these young guys play for Dougie? Maybe to much screaming not enough teaching?for about 15 minutes, and the 10 minutes for Mike Quade
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 Who you think will take the mound for the Twins?Milone, tomorrow afternoon. Oh well.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 If we just hadn'ta given up those last four insurance runs. That's the versatility of Jepsen. He doesn't need a save opportunity to blow a game.
tobi0040 Verified Member Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 If we just hadn'ta given up those last four insurance runs. The funny part is they referred to Suzuki being out at home as "the turning point" in the 9-1 game in the 9th. The other doozy was how we want to get Santana 350 at bats a year as a super utility guy. Kind of like the game about two weeks ago. We had a good start and lost 2-1 or something. Smalley said we have good starts and we don't score. We score a lot and get a bad start. Called it bad luck.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 I should've watched shark week. Thank God for DVR!
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 The 2016 twins have not had a loss that wasn't followed by at least one more loss. All season. Can they break that tomorrow? Stay tuned.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 I haven't looked at the standings too closely of late. Are we in miracle Braves territory yet?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 Eek, the upcoming schedule. I shouldn't have looked at it. Don't look at it.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 Who you think will take the mound for the Twins? It's a long shot, I know, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. http://farm8.static.flickr.com/7357/16559955096_cf34493ee3_m.jpg
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 The 2016 twins have not had a loss that wasn't followed by at least one more loss. All season. Can they break that tomorrow? Stay tuned.Well that's not true. They lost Saturday, and won Sunday. //I get your point...they haven't had a one game losing streak. But that's not very funny, so I made fun of your phrasing.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 Eek, the upcoming schedule. I shouldn't have looked at it. Don't look at it.Yeah...it features a heavy dose of the Twins.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 Yeah...it features a heavy dose of the Twins. Are you saying the twins would lose an intersquad game?
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 Eek, the upcoming schedule. I shouldn't have looked at it. Don't look at it.All Star break and four days off?
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 . The other doozy was how we want to get Santana 350 at bats a year as a super utility guy. The "super" part must refer to his 280 OBP this year, as opposed to his unsuper 2015 OBP of .241.
Platoon Verified Member Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 Eek, the upcoming schedule. I shouldn't have looked at it. Don't look at it. I did not look at it, but even so, I will bet anyone here, $20 that we are going to be playing teams with better records than us? Honest to (your favorite deity), I have not peaked!

ashbury Verified Member Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 I get your point...they haven't had a one game losing streak. That's because it wouldn't be a streak. Just a splotch.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 I haven't looked at the standings too closely of late. Are we in miracle Braves territory yet?Dunno. Our 25-52 Twins have 85 games to go, right? On July 7 1914, an off day, the Braves stood at 28-40. They went 66-19 their last 85 games. If the Twins can do that, they'll finish 91-71. Maybe a sniff at the playoffs, but surely not first place. They're starting from a deeper hole than those Braves ever were in.
