Haha oh my god he is actually venomous towards dozier

yes he is.  And that's why so many current player dislike him and what makes him a bad announcer and overall jackhole.  I'm all for being critical when warranted (and it is with Dozzier and most of the team, actually), but as an announcer, you can make your point and move on.  Dog with a bone isn't what anyone wants in an announcer.

Maybe they should signup Lance Parish to work with Jack again.  They used to love working together.

He essentially said, "how could he NOT hit that pitch?"

Short of whipping a toddler with a tree branch, or allowing his 4 year old to climb into a gorilla exhibit, Jack along with every other member of the 91 team, has earned a lifetime pass in my mind.

"So many current player dislike" Morris?

exactly.  all the blame on the pitcher, no credit to Dozier at all.  I really dislike Jack.

OH, my, did Kepler ever get the rookie strike 3 call there.

I hate that- banjo hitter, power hitter, rook, that K zone should be the damn same for everybody.

Actually, Brian ... you don't have this quite right. Pomp and Circumstance is the larger work; or rather, it's the name given to a grouping of marches. And the one that most are familiar with, because it's used at graduations, is March No. 1 in D major. The official title of that particular march is Pomp and Circumstance March No. 1 in D major (and NOT March No. 1 in D major from Pomp and Circumstance.) Sometimes you'll hear orchestras do several of these marches together in a concert, but rarely would you hear all five of them; and most often you'll just hear them performed individually as each is its own work in and of itself. It's not like Pomp and Circumstance is a larger work, like a symphony, and one the marches is an equivalent to one of the movements in that larger work. Put it a different way ... a symphony would be like a book, one large book, with one story start to finish, and the chapters in that book would be like the movements in a symphony; Pomp and Circumstance would be like a large book of stories; each story is separate from the next ... different plot, different characters from one to the next. The marches grouped under the title Pomp and Circumstance would be like these individual stories in this larger collection.

And I'm sure that's all clear as mud. But I tried.

I think GT participants are far more comfortable when the College of Musical Knowledge is restricted to: Whoopee John Wilfhart, and the Boys will play! :)

Heh--  the surprise in Dick's voice when he actually got to say "swing and a miss."  He sounded almost astounded.

Imagine.  A Twins pitcher getting a batter to swing, and not hit the ball hard someplace.

funny story, we're like 8th in the AL for Ks per game.

Of course, we're the only AL team with an ERA starting with 5 as well.

I.  SWEAR.  TO.  GOD.

How can you be a major-leaguer, especially someone like Bux, with speed to burn,

AND NOT KNOW HOW TO GET A BUNT DOWN.

What is going on in those minor leagues, or spring training?  Why in the heck are the skills just so bad all the way across the board???
