Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 I. SWEAR. TO. GOD. How can you be a major-leaguer, especially someone like Bux, with speed to burn, AND NOT KNOW HOW TO GET A BUNT DOWN. What is going on in those minor leagues, or spring training? Why in the heck are the skills just so bad all the way across the board???Has the element of surprise with the buxton bunt completely and totally gone yet? What are you thinking Suzuki?
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 Good gracious, Suzuki got a hitIs it Buxton time yet?
David HK Verified Member Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 Y'know, on the other hand, maybe it's a good thing every single one of the Twins suck at bunting.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 A H&R with Zuke on first and Buxton at the plate...and it works. Sometimes you hit on 18 and catch a 3. David HK, Platoon, gil4 and 5 others 8
David HK Verified Member Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 Heh... does this Ramirez look like the right handed version of Everyday Eddie out there? Aggies7 1
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 Gotta love IBB the guy in front of the guy who homered in his last AB Danchat 1
jimmer Verified Member Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 Y'know, on the other hand, maybe it's a good thing every single one of the Twins suck at bunting.most major leaguers do. Read an article on that awhile ago about how incredibly hard to is to actually do at that level. I'll try to find it. It was written in response to why batters don't just bunt when they get incredible shifts placed against them. glunn 1

jimmer Verified Member Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 Gotta love IBB the guy in front of the guy who homered in his last ABsets up double play and gets you to face a much inferior batter.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 Jack: "how does dozier NOT get hit by that pitch?" Circus Boy, David HK, jimmer and 2 others 5
David HK Verified Member Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 Heh---- I love Dick's confidence-- "Plouffe a chance to break the game open-- at least for the time being..." ashbury 1
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 sets up double play and gets you to face a much inferior batter.I know,I was just poking fun at dozier. Not often do you walk the 2 hitter to face the 3 David HK and jimmer 2
jimmer Verified Member Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 Jack: "how does dozier NOT get hit by that pitch?"you know, because he's a pull hitter...something new to hear from Jack :-)
jimmer Verified Member Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 I know,I was just poking fun at dozier. Not often do you walk the 2 hitter to face the 3teams outright laughing at the idea Dozier bats third. David HK 1
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 It's gone under the radar how terrible Plouffe has been lately. Danchat, Hosken Bombo Disco and Platoon 3
Danchat Verified Member Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 Of course... the Twins load the bases and get their only run off a HBP... well, at least they didn't get no runs. So, who's betting that the Rays score next inning? David HK 1
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 It's gone under the radar how terrible Plouffe has been lately. Not my radar gil4 and David HK 2
David HK Verified Member Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 Well, he Plouffed that one. At least Dozier beat the shift for a change. Now, is it too much to ask for a zero from Taylor Rogers? Come on, come on.....

gil4 Verified Member Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 A H&R with Zuke on first and Buxton at the plate...and it works. Sometimes you hit on 18 and catch a 3.Just as long as it doesn't convince you it's good strategy rather than luck.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 It's gone under the radar how terrible Plouffe has been lately. When you're a minnow swimming in a sea of terrible, it's hard to get noticed. ashbury and Aggies7 2
