Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 And now we're behind. Again. We are going to SHATTER the number of games being behind (148 of 162 by the 03 tigers)
jimmer Verified Member Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 Because it wasn't an error.Should have been. And that's my point. He's saying Plouffe committed an error but it wasn'tscored as such but he didn't say the Rays RF committed an error. And the RF one was much worse. Plouffe's play wasn't an error.

David HK Verified Member Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 Say, I did notice that Phil didn't give the lead back right away in the 2nd. Progress? (Although I maybe shouldn't say that til he gets out of the 3rd...)*Sigh*
jimmer Verified Member Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 Is losing something in the sun an error? It bounced in, and then out of, his glove. and the sun is not exactly blazing there.
gil4 Verified Member Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 Has every out been about 15 ft in front of the track? Just a matter of time before one of those goes out. He's definitely living on the edge, like he's done all year.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 That's 51 of 53 games in which we've trailed. Absolutely shameful.
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 Is losing something in the sun an error?actually, he didn't have a real good grip on the ball and came down hard on his left leg and that jarred the ball loose.

(Although I maybe shouldn't say that til he gets out of the 3rd...)No, it is remains a true statement about the second inning independent what happens in the third. Relative progress. Modified rapture. Riverbrian and David HK 2
David HK Verified Member Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 Whew, gave that lead back just in time. Got to go Molitor another exam. I think I'll get a big wad of gum and just chew the living hell out of it while I'm in there, and chuckle to myself. Riverbrian and LaBombo 2

gocgo Verified Member Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 Down in Florida on vacation and watchign the game on the FSS channel with the TB Rays announcers. Kind of nice to get their perspective. They seem pretty good. They were just talking about the possibility of Nunez to the All Star team. glunn, HitInAPinch and Riverbrian 3

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 (edited) Just for some perspective on how wretched this twins team is: The 1962 mets, who went 40-120, trailed in all but 15 gamesThe 2003 tigers, who went 43-119, trailed in all but 14 gamesThe 2016 twins have played in 53 games and have trailed in all but two. At this rate, the twins are on pace to trail in all but 6 games. Wow. Edited June 3, 2016 by Aggies7 formerly33, Danchat, LaBombo and 1 other 4
gocgo Verified Member Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 that's hilarious because the Twins announcers were just saying the same thing.Makes you wonder if Fox Sports just does a pregame meeting to discuss what both announcers will talk about. formerly33 1

Blake Verified Member Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 I'd like to know why Suzuki is in this game. The starting pitcher, even though a lefty, is allowing left-handed batters to hit over 300. For such a keen baseball mind, Molitor seems to do some very old-school baseball stuff. David HK 1
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 Yeah, but Chief's diploma was still chiseled on rock. (It had to be said.)Actually...more of a "certificate" than a diploma. But thanks for noticing. glunn, formerly33, Riverbrian and 2 others 5
