twinssporto Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Used to be fun driving through the midwest on a late summer night and finding so many ballgames on the radio from literally all over This is a total true story. About 20 years ago I was driving in the car through Iowa with my uncle in the front seat and my grandmother in the back seat. We had the Cubs on the radio and listening to Harry Carey. After about an hour in the car my grandmother says from the back seat, "You know, that guy asked me to marry him three times". My uncle and I say "what guy"? My grandmother says "the guy on the radio". My uncle and I both look at each other and say, "Harry Carey"? Grandma says "yes". I turned around and looked at her and said why didn't you marry him? She said back then no good Swedish girl was supposed to marry an Italian. My uncle and I laughed but she was totally serious. I asked her if Harry was a fun guy to date and she said he was. She also said Harry introduced her to one of the most handsome men she ever met. I asked who and she said Ronnie Reagan. True story.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 I guess that's one way to get him out of RF

LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Hammy. That'll take a while to heal. Them's are big hammy's on Sano That made me wonder... how many of these could Sano eat in one sitting?
Platoon Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 If I go to bed now, I will be able to catch the last two innings when I get up.
David HK Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 The late Jonah Lomu- Sano-sized, 6'5", 260, ran a 10.8 100 meters. Sano got down that line just about like Jonah got through defenders. It's just not right when something that big moves that fast. Hope Miguel's OK.
Linus Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 So it is still off limits on TD to be concerned about Sano's lack of physical conditioning?

David HK Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Dozier's best ABs these days are like Rudi from the Bad News Bears.I wonder if this Twins team could be compared to the BNBs? . . .Those awful red jerseys would look better with "Chico's Bail Bonds" on the back.

jimmer Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 So it is still off limits on TD to be concerned about Sano's lack of physical conditioning? As long as you say he pulled his hammy athletically, it's ok.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 And now Sano is limping. Good lord. What is the Twins' pregame flexibility routine? Toss the medicine ball around and smoke cigars in the steam room? Yes... but not the medicine ball or steam room part

Yikes, if she had married Ronnie you could have played in the White House! Maybe even been an extra in "Bedtime for Bonzo"?

jimmer Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Not sure what happened to Danny, he's turned his career around. Good for him (bad for us)
Platoon Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Didn't someone just ask about runs given back the next inning?
Reider Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Danny Valencia with a 2 run home run to right field. Nice hit!

David HK Verified Member Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 There has got to be that stat, somewhere- runs given back after team scores. Gotta be. And we gotta be at the bottom.Allow me to quote me owne poste. FFS, I'm sick of it. Come on, boys. Is Zuke just calling all those fastballs to set up the curve later? It's not exactly working. Kind of like running AP into an 8-man line again and again to set up Teddy's passing game. Umm....... Oh, and by the way- Dozey- did you see Danny V hit that oppo home run? Just checking. Sometimes good stuff can happen when you just go with the... oh, never mind.
