HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 That's almost a great line. If you allow me... How Bout' "Dozier pulls everything except himself out of the lineup" I don't know... Is that better? I think we got the start of a great slogan here. "Stop trying to pull everything, you'll go blind"
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Off the top of my head, I'd like to watch the sandhill crane migration, also college world series The Sandhill Crane's and the Baseball teams eventually go elsewhere.
spinowner Provisional Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Have driven through Nebraska multiple times. Can confirm there is 0 reason to stop.Miles and miles of nothing but miles and miles. Although I do like me a Runza for lunch.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 "Stop trying to pull everything, you'll go blind" That explains it. He's Stevie Wonder up there by now.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 A lot of Dozier talk around these parts. Nice hair and Handsome... This is the Dozier I see on the field.
formerly33 Verified Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Okay, Twins ...Lol ... you say that as though we have hope.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Finally caught up on the thread, in time for the bottom of the 9th. To read the posts up to here, you'd think we were losing 21-0.

Rigby Verified Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 I still have faith that at some point, someone in this organization is going to realize that Dozier isn't good enough to play everyday in the Majors. It has to happen.Wish we had figured it out before all the other GM's did though....
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 The interesting question for me is why Hughes comes out so flat to start the game. Before today's game his season ERA was 5.70, but in 8 first-inning tries the ERA was 10.12. Obviously after today's outing the differential is even more pronounced. Isn't there something more he can do in preparation to come out there ready to fire?
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Great moments in broadcasting: Cory Provus delivers a well-argued informational speech on how Mauer might bunt against the shift leading off the ninth, finishes speech as Mauer falls behind in count 0-2

A couple three rockets didn't find gloves in the first, most of the rest of the rockets he gave up did from there on.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Although I give solid props to Hughes for doing his part to change the swings of the Toronto team. About time someone had to at least dodge an inside pitch.

ashbury Verified Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 If he was moved to the bullpen... He would never see the 1st... Unless Berrios or Meyer was pitching. The cynic in me says that he does this on purpose so that he won't be banished to the bullpen.

Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Brunansky was a low BA, HR hitter for the entirety of his career. I am not sure that is the type of guy you want teaching the hitters we have. It seems like it is all or nothing and there is no savviness to this teams hitting approach... right in line with Tom's career. It does not seem like Bruno has an art about what he does, but a stream lined trade school, nuts and bolts approach to the trade. The power generation ended a good amount of years ago. I know he is not the guy for the job. We need to chop the head off of this god forsakened Trojan Horse that has become the MN Twins.

formerly33 Verified Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Throughout this whole series, I had this gut feeling that something just wasn't right, that the force of the Rally Roger was in jeopardy. Following some frantic research, I discovered an underground plot with the moniker of "Blue Jays Daily," an unauthorized affiliation which has gone unnoticed by the Canadian government for some months now. Faithfully perusing the ignominious, moderator-less forums of their private website for hours on end, I finally discovered a disgraceful rally icon which has been used repeatedly throughout this season, not so much to lead Toronto's baseball team to victory, but rather to blaspheme the Rally Roger. Of course, the icon had to be destroyed at once; this photo is proof of the culmination of my efforts. Unfortunately, as the series is now over, this may be seen as an unnecessarily vile act by some, but it was an action which needed to be taken in order to protect the sacred image of the Rally Roger. I would like to dedicate this act to Twinsnorth49 and Bark's Lounge. Long live the Rally Roger!
DrNeau Verified Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 It would be great to reverse time and give him the knees, hips, back, shoulders, elbows, eyesight and muscles he used to have, also.It would be great if Mauer would start hitting. Then we wouldn't need to hear 1,000 different excuses as to why he is not hitting (like we have to now, since he is not hitting).
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Cut off one head, two more will takes its place.I subscribe to the notion "Kill a body and a head will die". It's happening to the body, but the head is not dieing. Enough is enough.
