Castellanos just said the Twins have a good bullpen.

That is a huge relief!    No pun intended!   Haaaaahahahahahaha!

How crazy do we look now for thinking this was going to be a problem?    Just regular crazy,   or...

Signed with Texas.

Good to know,   but there is the possibility,  however remote,  that he won't stick there all season.

I decided to listen to the game on the radio tonight while running errands.  Kind of hoped it would be a better experience for me instead of watching on t.v.  Didn't work, drove the truck into the ditch in the 7th.

Duensing just opted out his KC contract and became a free agent

Duensing ... Kelly ... Duensing ... Kelly ...

I can't see it makes much difference which one we chose.  Duensing probably throws a little harder.  Kelly would look better in the uniform.

Worst driver since Hans Moleman

Yeah, I don't get the impression Dick drinks.

Bert, on the other hand...

Dick may decide this was the wrong season to give up drinking,

Sorry i missed most of the excitement. I noticed we got the first runs, and suddenly the game was over, and i don't think we won...

On the other hand, i got back on a softball field for the first time in like 3 years. Am ashamed to say mostly the ball bounced off my glove and my throws dribbled into the infield. But it was fun. And i did run one down that i didn't think i would get to. Wind probably helped a little.

We'll see ya tomorrow afternoon!

I just threw up in my mouth.

I just realized something...

The announcers what said that...

They can't actually see me, can they? I always just thought it was a figure of speech, or something.

Oh,  almost forgot.   The above title is null and void if you were over 90 mph;  that's an automatic disqualification for the Twins pen.

We must be saving those guys for the playoffs.

If you were thinking about doing something you didn't want them to see,  then I think the safe thing is to assume that yes,  they can.

Yeah.    If there are good relievers waiting to spring out of this bullpen in the postseason,  that's not just a regular Trojan horse,   that's,  like,   a Magnum Trojan horse.

Can someone please share Molitor's post-game comments?

Like the PSA campaign says about needles,   sharing Twins post-game commentary is "asking for it".

I'm guessing he'll probably have to provide a formal, written mission debrief statement to local sports media about the Hughes move before they go to press tonight.

Yes. Someone can.

Alas, i am not such a someone, and am currently not witty enough to pretend to be.

But i second the please part...

You won't like them.

1. Hughes shoulder was sore.

2. Balls were flying everywhere.

3.  A lot of ums, ahhs, etc.

4.  It was a good loss (serious)

You didn't miss much

Sorry Chief, almost forgot to add his most insightful comment.  "We couldn't get out of the 7th".

It's an unexpected honor to have you post here,   Mr. Antony,   even if it is under a pseudonym.

PS    You forgot his all-important won/loss record,  but you're a busy man, what with the front office demoting, optioning, DFAing, waiving, flogging, signing, promoting, and kidnapping players at a rate of roughly three per day on average,  so no worries.

NO, not me!  I lame the FO  early and often.  Many posters are in love with a very tall pitcher who throws very fast--but there is far more to pitching than speed.  As long as the game is decided  by which team scored the most runs, I will favor pitchers who consistently prevent the opps from scoring.  K/ ratio, FIP, and other modern metrics are fine--as long as people remember they are secondary to runs allowed.  Stats are indicators and symptoms but people can not  focus on the trees and ignore the forest!

LIsten, guys, I've got a fever. And the only prescription is more Kubel!

Withdrawal can be a scary thing. I recommend treatment.

Eh, no, a low ERA is obviously a good thing for the team, but it's not the best indication of how the player will hold up long term.
