PopRiveter Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 I like how Gameday adds descriptive words to it's game updates, as in "Eddie Rosario grounds out softly, pitcher Zach Duke to first baseman Jose Abreu". It really helps highlight how ineffectual our hitting has been.Mine displayed differently..."Eddie Rosario grounds out predictably, pitcher Zach Duke to first baseman Jose Abreu".

Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Well, at least they've went from all strikeouts to all groundouts, so that's a plus.... right?
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 I don't think region would matter. I'm blacked out for the Twins on MLB.TV so I just clicked around to some other games, but did not see the audio overlays working anywhere. Windows 7 and Mac 10.9, but again I wouldn't think that mattered as I was using the latest Chrome.... That's really odd. I have it available for every game that's going on right now.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 How many teams have lost their first 10+ games? I can't find it online. Are you pulling my leg?
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Knowing the Twins, he'll be bringing his infamous Law with him.I've put in an expedited ticket to Brock to get you more likes before the end of the game also, nannie-nannie boo boo for not being able to like this reply

Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Well, at least they've went from all strikeouts to all groundouts, so that's a plus.... right? I guess weak contact is better than no contact. I guess.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Well, at least they've went from all strikeouts to all groundouts, so that's a plus.... right? i'd like this, but that would be like liking my own, earlier, post.....
Puckett34 Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Well, at least they've went from all strikeouts to all groundouts, so that's a plus.... right?Progress. But now the BABIP is plummeting. These guys...

nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 46 of them. Yes, but all have gone on to win the World Series. Don't bother double checking that though, it was another bit of trivia that isn't online but solely in Chief's head.
Otto von Ballpark Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 You ever try VPN'ing in? I've been overseas for a year and half so it doesn't matter anymore, but I've been using VPNs for things like Netflix since the U.S. has the best Netflix content. I think when I come back, I'll just try going through a VPN for baseball too. Thanks, yeah, I've done the VPN thing, as well as other tricks. Smart DNS actually worked pretty slick, and I didn't have to worry about the service's speed like you do with a VPN. But ultimately I don't bother circumventing the blackouts, I can rarely sit and watch a live game anyway. Just curious why the audio overlay feature wasn't working for me (or other posters).
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Vincent Velazquez struck out 16 guys today. And he wasn't even facing the Twins, making it even more amazing.
kusko_andy Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 The ERA's of the next four pitchers the Twins will face: 3.86, 1.50, 0.00, 0.00. Woof

Yeah, it hasn't been working for me either. Which is really too bad given the only other option today.
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Welcome to the show kid, good luck out there.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Well, at least they've went from all strikeouts to all groundouts, so that's a plus.... right?Making extra work for the opposing pitcher having to throw the ball to first, sure
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Cory Provus just mentioned the Twins Kentucky pipeline, naming Darnell, Rogers, Meyer, and Albers. Of course, this ignores the fact we didn't draft Meyer, and got rid of Albers. Not much of a pipeline.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 My phone says Escobar threw a guy out....is that right? Like, on the fly and everything?

Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Trevor Plouffe's Sheboygan commercial has him say he can't wait to teach his son how to spot a high quality brat. I want to know why Trevor's dad didn't teach him how to spot a high quality pitch to hit.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Call this guy up, damn it.
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Yuck, that was an ugly swing Miguel
rghrbek Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Part of the problem is the twins have not battled their tails off...clearly visible as they walk back to the dugout with them between their legs
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 yes!!! I know, right? But just when I blow my mind with my own cleverness is usually about the time I realize the bratwurst has erupted in flames on the grill, and then I run through the closed sliding door screen to put it out.
rghrbek Verified Member Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Twins not going down without a fight in the 9th....proud
