Even when they try to do the right thing (pinch hit Sanó) they screw it up (lifting Rosario for Arcia).

Agree - if it was Arcia's spot up with 2 men on versus a lefty, instead of Rosario's spot, then Arcia would have been pinch hit for.

Thanks, I feel better now.  Only 8.6% if the losses.

The rain delays made the Baltimore games feel like 4 losses instead of 3, I guess.

If the Twins can protect their deficit tonight, and eke out another loss tomorrow with Ricky "No No" Nolasco going against Edinson "117 ERA+" Volquez, they'll have 7 losses to start the season.

The Royals look to me like they have a pretty good shot to win 90+ games again.     So if they Twins want to even think about winning the division, they had better plan on losing no more than 70 games.

So in other words, the Twins have an excellent shot to bank almost 10 percent of the losses they can afford for the season in just one week.      One week, out of 26, roughly 10 percent of the losses for 92 wins.

Which outfielder is that?

I'm glad we bent over backwards to keep Tonkin since he was out of options.

Kubel's bro-in-law, so what can you do, other than wait for him to retire and take over as bullpen coach?

Sano, after finding out that being the best hitter on one of the most offense-challenged teams in the AL isn't enough to keep you in the lineup...

Perk better get the 8th. So help me god if the first time we somehow manage to take a lead into the 9th is his first appearance of the year.

I'm trying to understand how this (basically same) club won as many games as they did last season. I was hoping it wasn't an anomaly.

Live look at glen perkins

I have to call BS on this one.

With some quick and dirty forensics, I've concluded that the remains didn't have a massive beer gut at the time of expiration. Also, there isn't nearly the level of skeletal scarring on rib cage that you would expect to see from someone who was perpetually out of breath.

agree, though not because god will help us mount a comeback tonight, but it also sets Perk up for a day off tomorrow, and then available for the home opener Monday.

This is your Silver Linings moment.

Oh come on, Perkins isn't that out of shape.  (I only say that because if he is out of shape with a beer gut.......what does that make me?)

Well done.

Aaand that's Buxton's 10th K in his 15th AB.

I have this sudden urge to mention Adam Brett Wa-... *mmphh*

This is beyond painful to watch, but so was the start of last season.

A win tomorrow gives them the same record after 6 games as in '15. Hard to believe.

They did say they wanted more consistency from him at the plate...

Is Ryan Pressley a real person? Or Michael Tonkin? Or are they Casey Fien aliases used for job security?

I imagine every time Molitor calls down there those guys aren't around, but only Fien.

I have no other explanation for why Fien is pitching.

Fien put a virtually unwinnable game out of reach. I consider this a best case scenario.

True, but we're hardly even getting the people ISP, let alone driving them in.

With tonight's 0-4, they are 3-37 for the season with RISP.

Lol.  The last thing we need is for Perkins to start a brawl.  Twins would go home beaten up with an 0-5 record.
