Every so often I am reminded of a player who made a great career elsewhere that spent a spell in the Twins uni, much as Harmon Killebrew did with the Royal (grrrr).

 

Here is my short list, I'm sure there others:

Okay, maybe not so much the last four or five as they were all with the Twins over the last few years, but they all went on to have success elsewhere in the league. 3 of which are or were on the Blue Jays this year. One of which had an outstanding 2013 season with the White Sox (0.74 ERA), but as far as I know has been sidelined with injuries ever since.

 

It's really just amazing looking at all of the talent that has come and gone through the Twins' organization over the years. Guys like David Ortiz, R.A.Dickie etc.. definitely have to be at the top of the list.

Eddie Leon

Travis Lee

Oddbie McDowell

Jessie Orosco (who did eventually play for the Twins, but only when he was 46 years old).  Yes, that's correct.  He played in E-Town for the Twins and was traded to the Mets (for Koosman, I believe).  He hit the majors in 1979 at age 22, and played for 9 different teams until he retired in 2003.
