  1. 1. Who should go into the TDGTHOF?

I've got some good news and some bad news, but first I will give you the good news, we have completed the first round vote for the TDGTHOF! The bad news? VOTES FOR YOURSELF DON'T COUNT!! So now we have seven finalists, due to a tie between Vanimal46 and always33. Below I will give you a brief scouting report on each of our finalists:

Riverbrian - Riverbrian's five things to think about are short, funny, and informative, but he also is a chronic liar and very prideful, so voters will have to take that into consideration. My advice is that since Riverbrian will make it to the HOF you should seriously consider voting for someone else, but voting for him will not necessarily be a bad choice, since he is the Torii Hunter of game threads.

Brock Beauchamp - Brock was paired with DaveW, but they will be voted on separately in the final round. The only administrator to do a game thread this year has moved into the final round, but it was done as a voluntary fill-in for myself, who had not requested it, so I am going to have to lower his scouting grade. His game thread was a good one, but he only did one so we don't know whether it was a fluke, or if he would have performed well if he had done ten, so take into consideration that some poor hitters homer on the first pitch of their career, such as Tommy Milone.

DaveW - Dave's only game thread was probably the shortest ever, and he got his predictions wrong, saying that Dozier would hit a homer and a double, and that Byron Buxton would have three hits, but both went hitless. My Twins player comparison is Chris Herrmann, due to little playing time and poor performance.

ChiTownTwinsFan - ChiTown did a few game threads, and performed well enough that she moved on in the voting, but I would like to point out that one of her threads was a spot start for myself, and that was because of always33 telling me it was a night game, but it really was an afternoon game, so we ended up having three intros, because sampleSizeOfOne and myself posted intros. I think that a good Twins player comparison would be JR Graham.

twinsnorth49 - North starred in his game threads this season, which is probably why he moved along in the voting. He hit for a good average, although he didn't get very many starts, and he showed good enough potential to become the starter if Riverbrian is benched, which is unlikely since he just received the most votes in the first round. North sorta reminds me of Eduardo Nunez.

Vanimal46 - Vanimal had only a few at bats, but his average was very high, making me think that he is similar to Mike Pelfrey.

always33 - always33 was a regular this year, but took too long going about her business, according to some, getting a little wordy, and receiving quite a few TLDNR. She seems to be a little streaky, so I think a good comparison would be Kyle Gibson.

You can vote for two intro writers, if you vote for more none of your votes will count. Members with 10 votes will be inducted into the TDGTHOF.

I'll write in a vote for Chief, who lined up a lot of the great group.

Brantley out again.  Hate to see that unless you really, really want the Twins to win.

Liked the quotes and story from LaVelle about Tuesday's game.  Here's Cleveland's ace pitcher, the fireballing Salazar, complaining about a 3-2 pitch in the third inning of a scoreless game to the Twins number 9 hitter, two out nobody on.  And how the ump missed the call, and cheated him out of a strikeout, leading to the Twins two-out rally for three runs.

I'm thinking to myself:  the ump misses one strike call against the number nine hitter in the third inning of a scoreless duel and you completely let it ruin your game?  Really?

Salazar = head case.

I am actually planning on doing one for GT participants next.

Fantastic job, Hrbowski.

One more time: we could not have been happier with all of you who stepped up to game thread intro duty this year. You all have added to the TD community, and you all were reliable, imaginative, and mostly spelled stuff good.

I joke around on occasion, but I am not joking now: thank you all very much.

Now lets complete this sweep.

Well I was looking forward to watching the game but my "websites" choose to play the Red Sox and Rays game on the Twins links.

Bastards...

I hate when that happens.  Especially since, golly, which 2 teams absolutely suck to watch the most in all of mlb?  I can't stand games between 2 teams I loathe, since they both can't lose.

Dang it, I got caught voting for myself. Now I will never ever be eligible for the TDGTHOF!

Don't worry about it, Danchat! You can always delete your vote, and it doesn't make you ineligible; that single vote just doesn't count. Riverbrian voted for himself, and he's gonna make it. Period. If at the end of the game he still doesn't have enough votes, I'm going to add him to my ballot just to get him out of the picture for next year. Lol. :)

Nunez?!.........................C'mon man!!!! You're killing me here!!

Keep that helmet on when you're typing, or it'll never stop.

OK, I may start a firestorm here, but when a batter's followthrough hits my catcher in the head, somebody's going down.

And he wouldn't have gotten a hit on the next pitch that way, either.

Go Twins!

Only here a few minutes before classes start--  but I gotta say, one of the best things about good ol' TDaily, is enjoying the usual abstract discussions, and suddenly realizing, 'hey, is the game on?'  Especially when it's a game that stars like this one....

Come on, Gibby, hitch up those trousers and get it done.

Gibson needs to be more consistent. Otherwise he will never be more than a #4 type.

Gibson looks like Pelfrey out there. Wandering around letting out a sigh, can't throw a strike. Almost looks afraid.

include him in a trade for Chapman in the offseason

Can't throw a fastball where he wants to and then thinks he's going to fool guys with off speed breaking stuff out of the zone. Then he starts nibbling because he has no faith in is stuff.

Go Twins!

I was thinking of Pinto, and how after the second time he got hit, Jones would not have had a third pitch to swing at!
