Line drive off Gibsons foot, then he threw Santana out at first.

Gibson didn't catch the ball, it hit his ankle but he picked it up and threw Santana out, should have been a 1-3 out.

The Line Out Struck Gibson and rolled behind the mound. He picked it up and threw to first because it was the only chance at an out.

The line drive was hit so hard, when Gibson caught it, the ball carried him out into medium deep CF.  Runners tagged as he was getting to his feet.

Hicks has speed... It took a nice throw to get the out. It's the 1st inning... I'd have went for it. 

 

Hicks need to slide flatter... Get Low and reach for the plate. The Swipe would have missed him if he did. 

 

And... your uniform gets dirty and produces more hits later in the game since it's a known fact that dirty uniforms lead to base hits.

This clunker of a game basically erases the awesome win over kluber last night and allows Cleveland to stay in the race.
