Spike Jones... I can't take the way he sings but I love to hear him talk.

How often is it him singing?

 

The few videos of his tv shows, i'm not sure if he does sing...

 

The above song i believe is sung by the Andrew sisters (not to be confused with Julie Andrews) who were stars in their own right.

Earlier today I was watching the squirrels in our yard. I looked out the window and there were at least 5 that I could see, but pretty quickly that number dwindled to 1. The problem was this young upstart dude who was seeking sexual gratification like all adolescent male squirrels are apt to do at this time of year; he kept harassing the lady squirrels until one by one they took their cases to the authorities. What I don't understand is that none of these ladies turned around and gave the little twerp The Eye. I've often wondered that. When a squirrel is being chased by another squirrel, if only it would think to whirl around all of a sudden ... things might get interesting. But they never do. :(

I had Barbecue for lunch... as a group we ordered a half pound of everything. Ribs... two different styles... Pulled Pork... Brisket... Chicken and Steak. 

 

It was fantastic lunch fit for a Puma. As long as the Puma enjoys a dry rub.

 

 I may not think about food for a couple of days.

 

I feel like a snake that just ate a Water Buffalo. I'm probably good for awhile.

Isn't there a relevant illustration from the Little Prince?

The Quick Pick is a Random Draw and the Drawing is a Random Draw. That means to win... you gotta match up two random draws exactly in a short period of time.

Better than 4, 4 is an unlucky number. 8 is the Chinese number for luck and also one of the most commonly picked powerball numbers. That and I'm thinking the Twins might need that many runs after Hughes pitches tonight.

 

So what is Hughes averaging on his fastball tonight, 85-86 miles an hour?

Heh... I got totally lost sometimes when first I came to China-land.  Sometimes they take that REALLY seriously-  like some places have no 4th street, and some buildings no 4th floor.  And if you go to buy a phone, you can choose your phone number, and the more 8s in it, the more expensive it is.  I went cheap, and got one with lots of 7s and 4s...

(Yeah, Spike had some standard vocalists, i'm pretty sure, and i don't know how often he himself sang. But yeah, he also collaborated with big names. A favorite o' mine is Homer and Jethro doing Pal Yachi (i don't know how it's spelled))

 

Oh, and Dozier, hits a home run, to the opposite field.

Don't get me wrong... Despite my criticism... I'm pulling for you. I hope you win. 

 

However... I've found that my hoping for something actually decreases the odds so now you got that and the double random thing going against you.
