Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Here's some baseball thoughts after the game:I like a bullpen with Cotts, Fien and Boyer in the middle and Perkins, May, and Jepsen at the end.Cleveland is just about done. They are behind three teams by three games or more. I hope the Twins can take advantage of an emotional letdown tomorrow and next week.Dozier's oppo homer was huge. Escobar's equally as big.Hughes performance was pretty good. He'll probably get two more chances.I just about gave up all hope after Saturday, but I'm starting to believe again.Hmmm ... I wonder if anyone at the game with you was trying to tell you it was nonsense to give up so soon ... I wonder who was right ... again.

sane Provisional Member Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Now Perk has to go home and have dinner. Naughty Perkins! After dinner, he has to write a check to MLB.
sane Provisional Member Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 How do you get ejected from a game that is over?Don't try to shake hands with an umpire who is running toward his dressing room.

spinowner Provisional Member Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Wow...Pittsburgh and the Cubs both have better records than every team in the AL, and both will wind up in the wild card behind St Louis. One of them will go home on day after the season ends, taking their 95 wins with them.Their good records are due in part to the fact that the NL has 7 of the 8 worst teams in MLB, two of which are in their division. If the Twins were to have traded leagues with one of those two at the beginning of the season the Twins would probably be one of the NL wild cards and the Cubs or Pirates would probably be much less comfortable.
