I'm seriously scared of this Lake Effect thing. I'll be moving to Tucson by January if it's as bad as they say it is. 

I hear that's a great place to live in winter. Just be careful of the crazy old codger who chases people off his lawn.

That reminds me of a play I saw in college of about a nun a priest and  crazy lady basically snow bound all winter in the UP.  It did not end well -- you would be smart to try and avoid this type of situation this winter.

TC's Mom -- she was in the woods with her twin cubs when she confronted by trappers who made her choose which cub would remain with her free in the wild and which one would end up coming with them and have to live a life doing stupid pet trips while wearing a stupid grin.  With great anguish and a Polish accent she told them to take TC.  There is a plaque telling the story in the Legend's Club.  Sad story.
