Twins have a logjam of guys that need to hit 9th. Dozier should get a couple games off to get his legs back. Play Nunez at 2nd for a couple. Nunez always looks great after a week on the bench.

I don't buy that excuse for a second, dozier is in the prime age of his life. His legs looked plenty fine on all those stupid dance videos he is a part of.

I've never seen a baseball game where both teams run out this many pitchers with ERAs over 6. Unfortunately, our bad pitchers suck more than their bad pitchers.

I agree, that is consider high leverage situation, Achter should only come in at the beginning of an inning.

no matter what happens the rest of the game at that point, that will likely be the most important at bat of the game. i get not bringing in May or Jepsen, but at least bring in fien or Boyer for the out and an inning at that point. Guys who have actually gotten major leaguers out. Achter has shown nothing in the majors thus far.

 

Hell, give me duensing over achter in that situation (feels sick)
