DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Twins have a logjam of guys that need to hit 9th. Dozier should get a couple games off to get his legs back. Play Nunez at 2nd for a couple. Nunez always looks great after a week on the bench.I don't buy that excuse for a second, dozier is in the prime age of his life. His legs looked plenty fine on all those stupid dance videos he is a part of. Stop trying to pull the ball all the freaking time. You aren't David Ortiz. jimbo92107 1

DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 yes Suzuki, the batter being in the way was why you didn't throw him out. LaBombo 1

notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 I've never seen a baseball game where both teams run out this many pitchers with ERAs over 6. Unfortunately, our bad pitchers suck more than their bad pitchers. And these are between two supposed wild card contenders. blairpaul715 1

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 The Twins are on their third pitcher and not one of em is capable of hitting 90 on a consistent basis. To quote the Dixie Chicks: "There's your trouble." notoriousgod71, Platoon and glunn 3
blairpaul715 Verified Member Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Well, that is what MVPs do...Achter should not be used in that situation.I agree, that is consider high leverage situation, Achter should only come in at the beginning of an inning. glunn 1

DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 I agree, that is consider high leverage situation, Achter should only come in at the beginning of an inning. no matter what happens the rest of the game at that point, that will likely be the most important at bat of the game. i get not bringing in May or Jepsen, but at least bring in fien or Boyer for the out and an inning at that point. Guys who have actually gotten major leaguers out. Achter has shown nothing in the majors thus far. Hell, give me duensing over achter in that situation (feels sick) David HK and glunn 2
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 They soooooo needed that run.
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Even if the don't score again this inning, they needed at least a tiny amount of momentum again. glunn 1
