Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 The part that got me, is when he said, I dont want to talk about myself, but when you think you are a number #1 or want to be a number 1 , you want to face the best..........That is true, but could have been said without injecting or saying "I was a #1"I guess the 10 inning shutout in game7 of the series will give ya a little bit of an inflated ego haha I do agree though.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Damn it Dick, step on my take.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Nah, i read it as 5th inning, too early for high leverage pitchers like Trevor or Jepsen or Perkins.Who comes out next? Fien?Trailing by 1 in the 2nd is high leverage for this team.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Hendriks!"You know, you're a, cute little, heartbreaker..." "There's a Blue Jay over Yonder"
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Did I just see the radar gun flash 95 for Liam Hendriks? Four times in a row? Why didn't someone in Minnesota think about putting him in the pen?Wasn't he only hitting 88-92 on the gun when he was on the Twins?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 They say when watching a baseball game, you have a chance to see something you've never seen before, and it's TRUE! I just saw Liam Hendricks strike somebody out.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Escobar has been good of late, I'll give him that.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Escobar on second. I think he's lonely out there...
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Did I just see the radar gun flash 95 for Liam Hendriks? Four times in a row? Why didn't someone in Minnesota think about putting him in the pen? Because TD would have complained about that move.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Yeah, why swing at something that close with 2 strikes?

nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Because TD would have complained about that move. More than when he was DFA'd?! Were you gone that month?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Nothing spells comeback like Eric Fryer followed by Shane Robinson.
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Ouch. Hat trick for Fryer and it's only the 6th inning.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 I guess the 10 inning shutout in game7 of the series will give ya a little bit of an inflated ego haha I do agree though. Jack Morris hand delivered the 91 World Series to me. So in my mind... He can say what he wants. He could color comment everything Dick says in Klingon and I'd be alright with it.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Our two catchers combined BA is not even .400 at this point
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Pylon = Eric Fryer.obligatory ftfy
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 And then Fryer and Robinson strand Escobar at 2nd with strikeouts. Why am I not surprised? Couldn't they have someone better at one of those spots in the lineup?
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Because TD would have complained about that move. TD complains about every move. They DFA someone who eventually is useful? Incompetence. They sign someone another team DFA'd and has success? Cheap dumpster diving.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Come on Fryer, make yourself useful and get hit by a pitch. I kid I kid, I know he did a good job of digging a few out of the dirt already. I'm guessing that Fryer wasn't in the game for his bat. He was probably in the game because he had worked with Duffey before in Rochester. And they may do that again sometime... in Rochester.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 That Hendriks guy could come in handy somewhere, too bad the inn is full in the Twins pen.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Yeah, why swing at something that close with 2 strikes?Four fastballs in the exact same spot and Fryer takes like one swing at it
Platoon Verified Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 It's sort of fun to watch, in a kind of, bad car wreck sort of way. They are in a way. I wonder if they would consider going the other way with a few pitches. I have heard that improves the offense. (RB might think this backwardly negative, but I for one am a huge fan of ground ball singles)
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 TD complains about every move. They DFA someone who eventually is useful? Incompetence. They sign someone another team DFA'd and has success? Cheap dumpster diving. There's really no way to know that, now is there?
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 And then Fryer and Robinson strand Escobar at 2nd with strikeouts. Why am I not surprised? Couldn't they have someone better at one of those spots in the lineup? No, there isn't a soul in the organization that represents a better option than those two guys, try to keep up. Plus.......pitchers.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 TD complains about every move. They DFA someone who eventually is useful? Incompetence. They sign someone another team DFA'd and has success? Cheap dumpster diving. I know It's almost like everybody has individual thoughts.
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Remember that week that TD really wanted Fryer to be the starter for the rest of the based on one 2 hit game? Good times.
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 I know It's almost like everybody has individual thoughts. Individual thoughts, collective pessimism.
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Oh sit the F@&$! down Donaldson.
