You were fortunate enough to have him clear waivers. Why on earth would you call him up and risk having to do it over again? Even if you are stupidly insistent on not calling up Jenkins, at least call up Gonzalez.

It's a good thing Jackson made it through waivers unclaimed.  Otherwise, where would the Twins have found another third-string catcher to replace Austin Martin???

Now if they DFA him again, they have to hope he makes it through waivers again. I thought it was lucky he did this time. He even accepted assignment instead of selecting Free Agency. He did great for the time Jeffers was out. He was successfully stashed in case Jeffers or Caratini got injured, which could happen any game. I guess they would rather Jenkins and Wallner hit homers for St Paul.

The team has had plenty of guys do an 0-13 at some point. However, guys like you have them relegated to the DFA scrap pile and unworthy of another chance shortly thereafter...
