Because they stank there.

Were they any different than last season, no they weren't.  This is on the front office and Shelton, they could have made the same moves in spring training, this was a knee jerk reaction because the coaching staff couldn't work with them.

At least Altuve knows when to challenge. Teammates letting Ryan down big time!

Joe could have challenged also.. he's not Ohtani but .

This inning is classic Twins baseball, just a joke on defense and Carantini not challenging a strike to end the inning…. Who pays, the SP. Trade Ryan to a team that can play the right way.

Joe brought most of this on himself. I think his theatrics rallied Houston. Some of his experience stuff comes off as trying to show them up.

You’re kidding i hope. Lewis botches a inning ending DP and Carantini sits on the 3rd strike to end the inning.

How on earth does Caratini not challenge a close pitch that could end an inning?

Because he knew it was not a strike.

Joe is allowed to tap his head also

ABS calling accurate balls and strikes all the time fixes all these outcomes that change every game in difference to the players actual performance. The players should be the human element only.

Did it sound like I was kidding? Mistakes happen in games Joe made several that inning also.

Should Caratini have challenged it? Yes.

But the pitch went inside and he was set up outside, so he wasn’t in a great spot to know if it was a strike.

But with your pitcher scuffling and a chance to get out of the inning, you HAVE to challenge, even if you think it’s kind of a low probability of success
