The Tigers have heated up recently; can our flailing Twins compete?? Hopefully some run support and no costly flubs from the defense, let's play the game and find out. Go Twins!!

This day in Twins history: June 9th

2022: Three Straight Home Runs to Open the Game
During a matchup against the New York Yankees at Target Field, the Twins became the first team in franchise history to hit three consecutive home runs to start a game. Luis Arraez, Byron Buxton, and Carlos Correa took Yankee starter Gerrit Cole deep on three consecutive pitches. The Twins ultimately hit five home runs in that game alone.
This would be a nice way to start the game, but not the result of that game, Twins lost to the Yanks, 10-7.

Like to see Bradley return to his early season form. Hasn’t been that good since coming back from the IL. Is Buck going to be back?

Hopefully Bradley is not reverting back to his Tampa form and that the early season success was truly a breakthrough.

Looks like Morris and Paredes are lined up to go tomorrow. Good, or Bad, or Ugly? Hopefully Shelton knows their limitations...

Watched it.  Very on point for TC.

I think this series will have an impact on the looming trade deadline.  Drop 2 or 3 to the Tigers and we slide into the depths of the mediocre Central and can start looking to the future....

Sweep and there is a glimmer of hope.

I liked the 2023 series in the Bronx better, where we got out to a 9-0 lead in game one. What a season.. has it only been three years? Amazing..

A team full of utility players and with at least a quarter of  the players only worthy of being the 26th man on most teams is not a contending team.  One series is not going to change that.  Just because they are deluding themselves into thinking they are doesn't make it so.

This lineup tonight, we have three players, Gray, Clemens and Bell that we have options in St. Paul to replace.  We are 7 games under .500 playing these three who have no future with the team except for maybe Clemens in a reserve role at best.  Time to make the changes and see what you have for next year, so you know what holes need to be filled.  And yes there will be baseball again at some point after this season, whenever that is it would be nice to know what direction we need to go rather than treading water.

We're gonna get hot! 🔥 One of those 12 game win streaks is right around corner! 😉 I think we've had those before. But then also pooped the bed on the 2nd half of the season.

Howz bout Culpepper for Gray and   drop Kreidler for 1 of many Outfielders  -  Bell has stopped ringing to all ears around here also

Are we going to get a game in tonight?

A few more days off and we'll be that much closer to the return of Matt Wallner 😁

Other injury rehab news…

Roden looked good at FCL and is moving his rehab assignment to the Mighty Mussels.

Geez, I thought he'd be back any day now. I think he's been out a good 40+ days now...

Don't know if I should be glad or disappointed about that action

Okay, so I was wrong about how the Kansas City series was going to go...

But I'm for sure right this time! We're going to crush the Tigers!
