Blyleven2011 Verified Member Posted April 4 Posted April 4 The hole has been dug , will it go deeper for the twins to climb out of it , they did get 10 runs yesterday ...
Western SD Fan Verified Member Posted April 4 Posted April 4 I guess the good news is that Altavilla in St. Paul hasn't pitched since the 31st so he should be available tomorrow when some poor reliever will have to wear the stain of Abel's bad start. Vanimal46, glunn, ashbury and 1 other 3 1

Over The Hill Again Verified Member Posted April 4 Posted April 4 Could be zero correlation and I honestly haven’t seen Abel pitch more that twice, but his body language doesn’t inspire confidence. I don’t know if it’s focus, enthusiasm, etc. Maybe it’s the weather. Twins_Fan_in_NJ, Hosken Bombo Disco and glunn 3

Good question , the head can withstand the cold except for the ears , the body has all the organs that need to stay warm ... They should buy those paper thin heated vest under their uniforms, they wouldn't even be noticeable ... RpR 1

You couldn’t pay me enough to sit in this weather for 2-3 hours. Absolutely. And I'm not going to criticize the players, who came from Spring Training in Florida and now fall asleep three hours after the game still cold despite a hot tub and hot shower. Vanimal46 and glunn 2
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 4 Posted April 4 Did I see that NCAA basketball just expanded to 76 teams for March Madness? We are over saturated in our major sports. Hrbowski, RpR and Hosken Bombo Disco 1 2

The new thermal underwear is good enough you could sit outside in 10 below weather for hours.

More times than not I played HS baseball on days like this in MN. Yesterday was worse for me everyone involved. They got soaked in rain and it was almost as cold as today. Hrbowski 1

BrokenCompass Verified Member Posted April 4 Posted April 4 So the Twins gave up the best closer in the game for a bum starter and some teenage catcher we might see in 10 years? Wish they'd have fired Falvey BEFORE the trade deadline. What a clown that guy was. No scouting ability whatsoever. Aggies7 1

I will agree with you there, 30-40 degrees with high humidity like today, 90 plus percent, is far harder to take that hard freeze temps. with zero to very low humidity. glunn 1
