Why?

It was 32 then and it is 34 now, I might get so warm I would have to take my vest off.

I was outside this morning too and just now walking my dog. Much worse now even with a 2 degree increase

A wind is blowing here, now; THAT, would make it more nasty.

It's early but it sure seems like umpires are missing more pitches than last year. One wonders whether they are pushing the challenge system and then calling their own zone. On the other hand, the umpires are cold too. These things get cleared up once the weather becomes reasonable.

Interesting. The radio announcers are convinced this is ture but I am not so sure.

There's something about Brooks Lee that is very unlikeable.

I don't get the Brooks Lee hate

I think they're taking challenges personally.

Can players wear a glove, not fielding glove, other than when batting.

Having sleeting snow landing on their bare hands, would be discomforting.

Twins should go back to playing 2 weeks on the west coast before playing home 😉

The announcers keep quoting the stats from the minors last year.  We will see as the year goes on.  Even many of the misses have been less than 1" off, which I believe is allowed when the umpires are being graded on their strike zone.

Not that the Twins are headed that way, but has a major league team, ever fielded , during a game, an entire team at or below the Mendoza line?

Glad to hear the close ones are not used against the umpires. Those challenges on hairline misses are not in the spirit of the game.. but I always lose that argument to the letter of the law people, so.... 🙂

Boy this Outman should be out, man.

Awful player, washed up and washed out. DFA.

I’m not super interested in defending Outman, but spotting him against a lefty (Because of the Buxton injury) isn’t setting him up for any possible success.

My crazy prognostication is that MLB will shrink the strike zone vertically this coming offseason.
This will sort of accomplish what you’re talking about.

The bullpen is leaking.

I’ve got a feeling next Friday’s free episode of Gleeman and the Geek will have a vastly different opinion about the bullpen

This may not be what the fans want to hear.  If the game gets anymore out of hand, you can burn Kent or Funderburk to save the rest of the bullpen.  Kent still does have one option left.
