Do the Phillies have anything left to play for? I would like to have seen a beatdown by the Phillies, but I suspect this is just their version of Rocco getaway day lineups to coast into the playoffs.

Kepler after .300+ hitting streak is below the Mendoza line for the past 7 games.

I hope he plays every game to see how he does against the Twins.

Question of the Game:

Pulling out the big guns for the last series of the season.

Who would win in a fight? TC or the Phanatic?

Phillie Phanatic Phi GIF by MLB

There's no dealing with the Phanatic's low center of gravity and general machismo.  A better question is how many TC Bears would it take to take down the Phanatic - I think at least 3.  TC Bear is a gentle bear.

No way! TC would totally go feral on the Phanatic. The real question is scoop up the Phanatic bits out of TC’s poop, or mop up the puddle with a bucket

If the Phillies swept the Twins and the Brewers got swept by the Reds, Philadelphia would move past Milwaukee for the first seed in the NL and home-field advantage throughout the NL bracket. That combination of sweeps doesn't seem especially likely, and the small gain in home field from 2nd to 1st seed may not be worth going all-out for.

Winning the Rangers series felt good at the end of this ugly season. I would like to see the Twins win some games in Philly too. It's crazy how Nola has struggled after being so consistent for years, but this kind of seems like the most winnable game of the series.

I thought this was going to turn into a toxic masculinity debate. Who would you rather come across in the woods? TC or the Phanatic

Can I substitute the Hamms Bear instead of TC?

If so I like the bear with a 24 pack of ice cold beverages.

Roster health for the play-offs. As stated earlier, 1 loss this weekend by Philadelphia or 1 win by Milwaukee and Milwaukee clinches the #1 seed. The Dodgers can not overtake either team for the #2 seed.

The top-2 seed they're locked into means a week off before the divisional round.  There's enough of a built-in risk of rust that I don't think they'll want to extend even further by backing off too much this series

Nothing left to play for...

Isn't that the way games should be played.

Ya know, being a game and all.

I still hope we win.

I have seen the Phanatic at a game.....TC the carebear would lose.

I can only access this website from one of my devices. It's probably still down for many.
Or it could just be nobody wants to post.

Actually the Phillies used all of their players and played hard. No let up at all from the Phillies.

I had it up on an old phone that I couldn't log into my account on! The silence was deafening. Glad it's everyone.. said Falvey in the deadline.

Larnach and Jeffers are so useless when Clemens is on third with no outs

..twice this week!
