You could be correct on Andrew Morris. Morris throws harder than either Abel or Bradley and has better control. Morris hit 98/99 a number of times this season. The command and secondary pitches still need work and he needs experience facing the best hitters. 

The Twins do have a pile of AA/AAA pitchers to sort through to see who goes where and when.

I 'understand' batting Martin leadoff. I just don't 'agree' with it. Also fine with Lee sitting. Wallner has been banging but if he just got in, the lefty lefty matchup is too juicy for Rocco to let happen.

Agree there would have to be a floor and a cap. But they can't be so far apart that the Pirates can still spend $100 million on payroll and the Dodgers can spend $300 million. I have no idea how you get the small markets to agree to a certain floor and large markets to agree to a certain cap. And of course the players don't want a cap at all. It's a mess.

If there's that big of a spread, then the floor and cap aren't actually doing anything because they aren't meaningfully changing spending habits on either end.  The NFL, NBA, and NHL all have a floor between 75%-90% of their cap.  In order to make this work, they need to agree on this spread, then work backward to adjust the revenue sharing to make it work.  The revenue sharing piece will be hardest to get buy-in from the large markets.  And the players have to get on the same page to make gains on the bottom end of their spectrum - higher minimum salaries, shorter path to free agency, etc - in exchange for allowing a cap.  Basically, both parties are going to have a hard time agreeing internally on what to propose to the other party. And caps are usually pegged to a percentage of revenue, so they have to agree both on that percentage as well as what constitutes revenue.  So, yeah.  It's a mess

Gross, why not give Cardenas of the Saints an actual look or you know actually have Rocco put Paredes in a game. Gaspers throws to second base on steals were atrocious, two even sailed. I mean he is not a good pinch hitter, not good at second base, too short for 1st base and not much range at 2nd base. Why are we wasting chances on a guy that is at best a Quad A guy?  I know Twins are not really trying to win to close the year so why waste development opportunity on a about 30 year old player. Really disappointing a guy with a 146 batting average being kept over giving Cardenas in St Paul this opportunity.

Given that owners won't share their revenue info, that a lot of revenue comes from RE development near the park, etc.......good luck. But I agree, there is no incentive for the biggest markets to share their revenue in a meaningful way. How much less money do the Yankees make under this model? A LOT LESS.

Yankees don't run much, but with Gasper behind the plate and a bullpen game there gonna run on the Twins. Doesn't take much on film to see dude, Gasper behind the plate has  a weak arm, and delivery is off balance. I would be ticked off if I'm AAA guy with Saints hitting well and this guy Gasper is hitting 146 and cannot even execute a sacrifice bunt. Negligence putting in a player behind the plate that cannot throw out runners at big league level.

I dunno, other sports have been able to come to an agreement on revenue definition

Getting the elites onboard is going to be a real problem, but I can think of two ways to get their buy-in:

1) Have some sort of weighted revenue distribution that distributes more revenue to the biggest revenue generators.  Sorta like how the ACC got Clemson and Florida State to avoid blowing up the conference.  

2) The small and mid market teams get a big enough voting bloc to ratify a proposal without the elites.  The Yankees might/will throw a fit, but their value goes waaaaaay down if they don't have anyone to play against

Now Rocco has fallen in love with Fitzgerald, just like Gasper last week.  Play the guys that a chance to be here next year.  Wallner or Larnach need to be in the lineup, you have to have LH bats anyway.  There are plenty ways they could be in the lineup. 

I don't mind giving Lee the day off but why play Fitzgerald three days in a row.  This organization isn't serious about winning or doing the things needed to win, like develop your younger players.  After they gave up on the season by trading away half of the bullpen, they still don't show any direction.

Batting Luke again in the 4 spot-------   So he moves Byron for Martin in the 1-spot-  when i mentioned that b4 people all said  Byron needs to stay where he is ,  would like to see a everyday  player - Luke and Byron  1-2 , either way  -- Martin is okay but ill be surprised if he is anything more than a  Kiersey going into next year

I'm not sure how people can really talk about this, not that there is anything wrong with conversations. The Dodgers are over $400M and committed to well over $200M before arbitration and adding players. If 75% is the marker and the Dodgers spend $400M, how can the lowest teams pay $300M? And if you don't allow the Dodgers to fill out their roster with anyone but rookies and the payroll is $240M (which they cannot reach that low), how are you going to get the Pirates, A's, etc. to spend $180M?

The Yankees could make someone a little cash by dumping tonight's game. Gasper at catcher is a hoot. He didn't get hurt or hurt anyone last time out. Good luck Twins.
