You find out if they’re going to be good major Leaguers by playing them in AAA?

So you can play average veterans that have proven they aren’t and never will be needle movers in the bigs?

You do not bring Rookies up to see how good they are; you bring them up if they earned it, or for the Twins injury.

Spring Training is for look-see, not regular season.

Fundy has to be near his limit of call up/send downs per season anyway and he’ll need to be DFA’d

That's fine

Watching NYM and just had a commercial saying NY State Dept of Corrections guards are paid $105,146/yr after 5 yrs on job.

Speaks volumes that what is largely regarded as one of worst pitching staffs comes into our house and effectively owns our hitters for two games.
Rocco shrugs.

Huh? Gore is damn good. Parker is serviceable at an Ober level at least.  Finnegan's a pretty good closer but haven't met him yet.

One of the things I like about you Van, is youre always looking for the silver lining.

Two of the three teams below the Twins for the worst record since June 1 are the Nationals and Rockies. Teams we can’t seem to beat.

Twins 19-29 in that span.

You’re making a pretty good argument here that the Twins ARE the worst team.
Good thing we locked up our Manager for another year.

My brother had a dog named Kirby too

I travel and take my dogs with me where ever I go , people ask whats the dogs name is and when i tell them , if they have a baseball knowledge a conversation is easily struck up ... I've had a killebrew , tovar , south paw kaat , carew , Oliva  , blyleven and now Kirby  , I called all my dogs by their last names but Kirby I couldn't call him Puckett , if he got away from me , people would think I'm yelling  F***it ...

Twins looked bad tonight ...

You must love this front office, then. Play for those 75-85 win seasons, so that you never have a 60 win season…at the price of never even sniffing great.

Look at the Tigers in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021…look at them the last two years.

Look at the Astros in the early teens before they won their multiple World Series.

You can start over with youth…you can be average(ish) forever…or you can spend yourself into contention.

Gore was an AS but he’s been up and down the past month. He wasn’t anything close to dominating yesterday and somehow got away with 6 walks. But mostly I was thinking about their bullpen which I do believe is the worst in the league.

But the front office lives on hope and believes in this team  ...

They are a blundering run team for extending baldelli  ...

I do not want to go through the last 8 games of the Twentieth Century again, although , Gardenhire's pathetic performance , WITH, winning seasons, is probably the epitome of incompetence .

With out 2023 the Gardenhire/ Baldelli years are really rather pathetic and I have zero desire to see that repeated watching rookies fail.

The Twins did not have a season as bad as 60 some till 1982, they had five more since then; I do not want to EVER  see another one, neither do the those who pay money to see games.

2019 the Twins second best ever season , was one with 6 imported veterans; that is why it was as good as it was.

Even Baldelli said so, but I bet he does not change his style.

Wallner even swings and misses in the on deck circle!

I'd be surprised if anyone got a hit from there...

Say what?????? Really????

Yes, Really.

I'm pretty sure if someone got a hit from the on deck circle, it'd be negated for being out of the batter's box, if not actively interfering with someone else's plate appearance.

But maybe i don't understand what you mean. As i infer from an abundance of punctuation, i might have confused you too?

But perhaps Qbert was ahead of his time...

We need Wallner. Let him play every day for the rest of the season.

This team isn't going anywhere. Lets try to figure out next year or the year after.

Yep, who in AAA replaces him and gives you a better shot at winning games? Also, it's sink or swim at this point, and not just for Wallner.

A real opportunity for McCusker might be warranted over Wallner right now

I guess? Don't get me wrong, Idc enough to get worked up over the swap but McCusker seems like a AAAA player at best to me. If they want to get him ABs I'm fine with it, but I'd rather see Larnach moved in order to do so. I think we absolutely know what Trevor is at this point.

Shows how much I pay attention to the minors. Upon further review, McCrusher has a ,572 OPS in July. Never mind

I don't follow closely either tbh. I like catching Saints games in person and that's about it.
