What the twins have in recently acquired Gillespie ???

He might be a AAA savior but he definitely is not a mlb savior ,  most likely will be another shoemaker  ...

The front office continues to believe we are in a good place and are contenders , I just can't believe what they continue to add to the roster in trying to be creative  ...

Do they want people and fans in the stands , with these past few acquisitions on a 40 man roster , they don't do anything to get us to the injured players recovering  ...

It's a pathetic pitiful putrid piss poor run team ...

Can't use the word professional anymore because it just doesn't exist with this organization  ...

What do you want them to do, right now? There are almost no trades in June.....so what do you want them to do? We have no idea if they think this team is a contender this year or not.....

What SP was traded in June or May the last five years? This isn't a realistic hope.

If there is a will, there's a way. But the easiest way to solve this problem isn't a trade, but to sign FA Kyle Gibson. Gibson, who didn't have any ramp-up but had a tremendous AAA time with TB. He's an inning-eater & veteran presence, loved by the TC community & clubhouse.

Because they picked up a guy to fill the AAA rotation? The minors are filled with these kinds of guys.

No, should have added context…

I had such hope for this year. Where I had hoped to be at this juncture (looking for a roster need for a playoff run) versus where we are (picking up someone “to fill the AAA rotation” because we’re burning through starters and we actually might need to run him out for a few starts in the bigs) has been exhausting. Are we that bad? Are we mismanaged? Are we cursed?
At any rate, that is the future I weep for. The one where Byron Buxton becomes Mike Trout…a glorious player who doesn’t see the playoffs.

If you think they can win playoff games, sign Gibson, I guess? But no one else has either.....

but I don't, so I'm all in on playing the youth and learning more information about them and getting them experience in MLB.

I get not everyone agrees, and I'm ok with that.

Why couldn't they see the fragile position of our MLB rotation before? We don't need a AAA filler, we need a MLB  SP filler & long relief. We needed one 3 weeks ago, where is that person? What's more important?

We have the long relief guy, we brought Adams up to fill that spot, but then Matthews got hurt they needed a starter so they sent him down and brought up woods, and since sending him down the teams been needing exactly what they brought him up for.

What do we want them to do , we wanted them to put together a team that is qualified as a contender and we wouldn't be having this conversation now  , a wild card team really isn't the purist way of being a contender , play mediocre baseball and see what happens , I want the killer instinct , win the division  ...

They should of shook up the team this past off season  ,  some of us knew we were in for the same kind of ball we had in 2024 , no matter how positive we all WANT to be ...

We will never win anything with this ownership ,  FO  , manager  , when I say anything  , that means a world series appearance and hopefully a win ...

That would be exciting wouldn't it , it's what we all want but this team continues to flounder under there watch , I believe the players have talent , but our major league coaches just haven't tapped into that next level of talent at the major leagues,  there is a talent level at every level and players are much to blame as coaches if they don't seek out better instructions , whether from our coaches or outside the organization   ...

Sure, but you were complaining about what they are doing now? I agree with a lot of this, but I don't know what that has to do with now.

Never say quit right?  Look at the 1914 Boston Braves.

The 1914 Boston Braves pulled off one of the greatest turnarounds in baseball history.

They were dead last on July 4th, 15 games under .500. But they caught fire, surged all the way to first place by Labor Day, and then swept the powerhouse Philadelphia A's in the World Series—a team that had won 3 of the last 4 titles.

Twins fans, here is your dose of hope:
Never say never. Even a lifeless, underperforming team can turn legendary if they get hot at the right time.

What do you all think?

Either I'm "on something"     or    "on to something?"

On something.  Something mind altering.

Not really complaining , just stating they added a AAA arm and not a quality arm for the team , they added the lefthander Wentz , only because we needed another lefthander , he hasn't had a clean outing with the twins yet ...

It's time to break this up  but with FO and manager nothing is going to change , you can't keep trying the same thing over and over and expect different results ...

They give us a bunch of baloney in spring training that there approach is going to be a different game , but it doesn't change ...

Nothing in the game changes and nothing from FO or manager changes  ( their words are cheap and i laugh at either of them if i ever do catch a pre or pist game or an interview from falvey ) ...

I doubt Falvey is hiding under his desk right now , he has job security and probably laughing with his family every night on how he has the pohlads wrapped around his pinky ...

Well he doesn't have this fan wrapped around his pinky  ...

Yeah, Dan. It has been the perfect timing for Adams to get his feet wet in long relief. Why pitch Bride when we had Adams to go long relief? Adams didn't pitch 1 inning while he was up, did he? I'd like every potential SP to be exposed in long relief in AAA & brought up in a rotational long RP & spot starting role. Instead of wasting his bullets in AAA while giving our rotation & BP a break. But that's just me.

How about blewet  ??? 🤣

I think even the Orioles couldn't take him. Hey unrelated note that Cubs are after Seth Lugo. Someone else calling it a year too perhaps

I'm so tired of hearing Rocco saying just that. We don't worry about the results because we know our process is sound. Really? If the team is not getting results then your process sucks!

Well, we've been getting "processed" all year.

The Twins don't do long relief. Unless you want to call the starter who comes in after the opener. Does Rocco ever let any reliever pitch more than one inning? Even if they throw less than 10 pitches. So frustrating 😫

Heh... instead of rearranging all these deck chairs, I'd like the Twinks to bring up Cory Lewis for a start, with that nasty knuckler.  I know he's had a tough AAA year, but wouldn't it be fun just to eff with somebody like the Yanks for 1 game? 😅

Connor Gilliespie? Who? What? Never heard of the guy and honestly, I wasn't sure if it was another infielder or pitcher we had picked up. And I'm not sure that it makes much difference.

Best idea that I've heard of all month!

We’re fine, we’re still here, still loyal fans, still hanging onto that glimmer of hope. It’s our favorite team that’s bad, mismanaged, and likely cursed. Let’s hope something (ownership) changes with them, sooner rather than later.

Not much. Between him, Wentz and now Urias, Falvey is truly desperate and dumpster diving. Do we really think picking up players who have been fired from teams just as bad as us is going to help our team? You roster these type of players, most of the time your going to get that type of level of play :(. Just goes to show they have zero hope in our supposed pitching pipeline if they would rather hire waiver wire castoffs than give any of our pitchers a shot. At least give Adams a chance in the pen, he's earned a look. These new guys, absolutely not.

You DO realize that ANY player you EVER pick up from another team by any means, including trade and free agency has essentially been fired by said team right?
