  1. Career 6.53 era through 60 innings, with that amount of innings you have to start to be able to figure it out, not saying he has to be a finished product, but there has to be a trend in the right direction of having better numbers. Needs to be serviceable, I’d take a 4.8-9 era and be fine but to have a 6.53 it’s not gonna get the job done.
  2. The org has to figure something out with Zebby, we can’t keep running out a guy who once in a blue moon might have a good start other then that it’s been bad. Going out against the worst team in baseball and giving up 5 in 4 innings and 8 hits terrible. Striking guys out is great but, doesn’t mean anything if you can’t keep guys from scoring and giving your team a chance to win games. He’s had enough innings in the bigs to where we need to start seeing results.
  3. We have the long relief guy, we brought Adams up to fill that spot, but then Matthews got hurt they needed a starter so they sent him down and brought up woods, and since sending him down the teams been needing exactly what they brought him up for.
  4. I mean if ohl can find similar success at triple A this year as he has so far at double A, could we possible see an Adams and ohl combo in the big league pen, have two long guys that both throw strikes and can manage to throw multiple innings with our young starting staff of festa, Zebby, and woods who haven’t proven the consistency yet of being able to go 5-6 every start. Is this likely to happen no, but just a different way to look at pen options with the games the Twins have now days.
  5. Hopefully we will get to see what Adams has to offer to the team at some point soon, because wentz blows. This team needs to find that guy that can eat innings in good or bad situations and not let the game get even more out of hand, just for that small bit of hope that the offense has a big inning and the game isn’t 2 touchdowns away.
  6. I wouldn’t go as far as saying he’s getting nailed, do you expect him to go out and throw zeros every outing. 4 innings 3 hits 2 walks and 5 Ks 3 runs, wouldn’t say that’s getting nailed. Was watching because Morris was supposed to start today but got scratched, Adams stuff looked sharp just some bad luck on fly ball that the outfielder missed in the gap then the ball hit off the wall and kicked away from both outfielders standing next to each other and the guy from first scored and guy got a triple.

  8. I’ll be curious to see if they call up Adams once his 15 days is up, if they’ll call him up right away and hopefully we can actually see some use out of him, bc there’s been some situations that would have been perfect to use him since he got optioned down.
  9. The situation with McCusker is he got called up, got to pinch hit late in games which he’s not used to and gets his rhythm thrown off by not playing and then gets sent back down and now he’s struggling. If you're gonna bring a guy up like him who was red hot play him don’t just toss him on the bench to get late game abs especially as a rookie, confidence is key. I’ve watched plenty of St. Paul games and watched Morris pitch plenty and I’ve noticed that he gives up a lot of hits, doesn’t strikeout a bunch and gets into trouble of having bases loaded no outs or even 2nd and 3rd no outs and manages to get out of it with a line drive to the shortstop then a double play really mix of any events, and to me it seems like he gets bailed out of a lot of situations and at the next level it’s not gonna happen like that, those runs will cash more often then not. Morris is a great pitcher and has a bright future in this org, I just don’t think right now if an injury were to come about they should bring him up bc it wouldn’t end well, he needs more time to develop at the triple A level.
  10. I don’t think Andrew Morris is close to even being usable in the bigs even if the Twins needed a starter with all the injuries the numbers just ain’t there. They’d probably go the route of signing an older vet to fill in the role. I would rather see them use Adams in that emergency starter role due to injuries if it came to it, if he gets some innings and experience from the long relief role and shows he can handle the hitters at the big league level, why not give it a shot, he use to be a starter and was decent and can throw a lot of innings, he’s still throwing 4 innings how hard could it be to build him up and add another 1-2 innings out of him. 11. He’s got the stuff, but not being able to throw any of it for strikes and being behind hitters and being at the level he’s at all they have to do is be patient and wait for a certain pitch they want. Which isn’t a recipe for success and that’s what we are seeing right now from him. I think a demotion at this point would be better for his development to face lesser competition and get some confidence back on the mound and work on what he needs to work on. Personally raya isn’t a top 10 prospect and I’d put him closer to high teens close to 20 spot in the org.
  12. Is it possible that Lewis and raya weren’t ready for the triple A level. We saw both of them have walk issues at double A and it’s only gotten worse with better hitters. Maybe when Dobnak comes back you can send both back to double A to build some confidence and work on some stuff. You’d be down a starter so maybe you could put Adams back to starter, possible call up rozek, ohl, MacLeod to fill in the spot. I know it’s early but there really hasn’t been much positives from any of there outings and is only hurting there development, better to do it now rather then later when to much damage has been done.
  13. Probably just to take some pressure off him being at the top of the order, he was struggling being at the top why not just try him out later in the order not gonna hurt what he’s doing anymore.
  14. Looking at our young prospects that are in triple A, on the hitters side of the ball we got Rodriguez who is big talent just taking him some time to get the ball rollin but I have high hopes for him to make a splash this year, obviously we have the giant who needs to be called up, the guy rakes. I know his K percentage is high but we want some power up in the bigs. On the pitching side of things to me really 3 of the 4 young guys we have not been the greatest. Raya numbers are ridiculous not in the way you’d want them to be ridiculous, Lewis is pretty much in the same boat with raya, Morris hasn’t been bad but not what i expected from such a high prospect, his numbers could be a lot higher then what they are, he’s got a 1.80 whip, 15 more hits then innings pitched and strikeouts aren’t terrible but to be giving up that many hits you need to strikeout more. And last is Adams who’s been quiet the surprise to start the season, he’s been dominating, one thing maybe I’d like to see more from him is couple more punch outs but other then that he’s been nasty, he gets lots of ground balls and doesn’t walk many people which is a recipe for success.
  15. Is it possibly time to send raya back down to double A to build some confidence after such a bad start to the year? He has a walk per inning, people are batting .459 off him and he has a 3.15 whip. I mean strikeouts are good other than that it’s horrendous. One could say he wasn’t ready for triple A with the numbers he was putting up in double, career numbers 121.2 innings, 4.51 era, 1.35 whip, and just over a k per inning. He’s got great talent but maybe was rushed up to triple A to soon, yes I know he was put on the 40 man this past off season but he didn’t need to be in triple A could have started him off in double A like Rodriguez was in 2024 and when he should he was ready bring him up.
