  1. Everyone is tired of all this waiting. Get it done, fer Pete's sake! Right, Peter? Lol
  2. 3-0 feels insurmountable. Our offense against this guy might be a bit lacking!
  3. What makes people think that Giolito has gas left in the tank? There's got to be a reason why he's not employed. I obviously don't know 🤷
  4. He's a pitcher. This is what happens to pitchers. It's just his turn.
  5. What a pleasure to have Perk and Molly in the booth. Great analysis and bantering.
  6. Timely written article. He looked good in his debut today. It was fun to see his family cheer him on. He ate some innings in today's game, which was very good 👍
  7. "So far"being the key here. He may be in that elite small group that can avoid surgery. I hope this for all pitchers.
  8. I'm terrified of drafting a pitcher. Unless you're willing to sew their arm back on and waiting for a couple of years to see if they can still throw the ball. I'd rather take the best bat and glove guy.
  9. The total accumulated wear and tear on his body is really only about 7-8 years. There's no reason to be doubtful about his next 3-4 years as a highly productive player. His triple the other day shows that he's not lost very much speed. Once he gets the bat going, he can carry a team for a while. I'm happy that he wants to be a Twin for life.
  10. I know most here love Target Field, but if there's ever a state that needs a dome, it's Minnesota. For April games, and October. If we ever play October games again, that is.
  11. The elephant in the room is not knowing what the new CBA, when agreed upon, is going to look like. I'd be taking a cautious approach. A year from now is soon enough and we'll know a lot more about salary construction that will be expected.
  12. We have a conundrum here. A lot of complaints due to poor play and bad decisions, resulting in a team loss. But aren't team losses necessary to force the team to bring up those gems lurking in St.Paul? I know that I'm conflicted. Obviously, we all want to see well played games. I'm just stirring the pot a little. 😀
  13. There will be a lot of eyes on the Saints this year. John Klien is another good reason to watch. There could be a half dozen of those guys wearing Twins on the front of their jersey in a couple of months if the wheels fall off at Target Field.
  14. He looks like he's improved a lot. He's had a good spring and seems more relaxed and comfortable. He will be just fine until someone else pushes him out of the lineup.
  15. I'm with you on Hill and Quick. I have my doubts on your assessment of Prielipp. He might end up in the bullpen, but closer seems too much. I think there's a chance it will be Hendricks. He's not there yet, but he's a bulldog and he'll be hard to keep down. I hope they make room for him on the roster.
  16. The ball has very little to do with low batting averages these days. But velocity and spin rates have everything to do with it. The strides made in modern day pitching have unquestionably lowered batting averages. It's also why nearly every pitcher has elbow and/or shoulder injuries eventually. Which is also why I would not extend the contracts of any pitcher. But, that's another subject for another day.
