It's great to read the passion and dedication for our beloved Twins. I've been a baseball fan for over 60 years and this is the where the heartbeat of the fan is truly felt! Thanks again!

    It seems to me that the Twins believe that his heel injury is completely behind him, and his approach at the plate will be much improved as well. He has talked about his simplified attitude about hitting, which sounds refreshing to me. Sometimes too many voices crowd out your own. I have fairly high hopes...

    It's starting to look like a trade is coming. My guess is that two or three guys on the 40 man roster will be moved for either Cease or Mountcastle. Or something like that. I'm pretty sure we're not done with the 26 man roster.

    Not if it includes one of our top four in the starting rotation. Pitching is too hard to come by.

    Seven players profiled. If even three of those guys make good progress and have a positive impact on the Twins this season, it will be a major success. Having a volume of depth means a lot in the effort to maintain a competitive team, regardless of budget.

    Signing a free agent, regardless of who is left out there, is not likely to happen. But there's plenty of time to make a trade or two, which I think is likely. They have routinely waited until it's close to spring training. And, who knows, some clarity regarding ownership might change the path forward. Patience is still required.

    Care to elaborate? The Phoenix Suns, owned by the Ishbias, are aggressive deal makers with the Suns. They are constantly trying to improve the team.

    Is it safe to assume that most cable providers will carry the new Twins channel? There are still hundreds of thousands people that will be watching through cable. I especially think of older folks that know nothing about streaming or phone apps, etc. Shut-ins and our loved ones in nursing homes across the Dakotas and other surrounding states are dedicated fans of the game. I'm glad they will get to watch the game they made "America's Pastime" easily.

    I do like having good versatility on the team. And I do realize that our core players have their positions when they play. It's the lineup juggling that seems excessive. I guess that will be resolved when some of our youth show they belong in the lineup daily. You guys make good points.

    It seems like the manager and front office don't want anybody at a "full time position" anywhere. It's one of the analytics things that I can't stand. Sometimes, a guy can't perform at his best when every day you have to look at the lineup in the dugout for your name, your position in the order, and where you're playing in the field. I'm not sure that's the way to get the most from your players.

    If new ownership does come into being this year, I would hope that Joe Maurer is asked to throw in to some extent. He would like to have a stake in his hometown team, wouldn't he? If the new owners meet his approval, I think we'd all be happy!

    This is a great article! Thanks for the memories. I'm old enough to have seen them all. I still think Harmon Killebrew is the finest human being to have ever worn a Twins jersey.

    I believe this also. Carlos missed a lot of games last year due to continuing foot problems. Other teams know this and there's no proof that all of that is in the past. I hope it is, of course. Also, I think his presence on the team is necessary for any interested buyer of the team. He's part of a solid core.

    Bring spring training to the Phoenix area. I'm a Minnesota snowbird loving that idea.

    If he would play at the same salary as last year, I'd resign him for sure. We have enough other holes to fill with young, relatively low experience players. It looks like there's some gas left in the tank

    What will it cost to keep Santana one more year? He didn't play like 39 last year! He saves a lot of errors on bad throws and his bat will be very hard to replace.

    Does anyone know if there's an actual person or group with an interest in buying the team. This may be just speculation, but I'm sure the current owners have someone in mind already that they are courting. Otherwise, a deal will be a long way off.

    It's too early to pull the plug on starting. He's got six months to keep building strength for next year. Let's see what next year brings.

    In these last few weeks, I have the most trust in Jax. He's been the best arm out of the bullpen for a while now.
