Pro tip - don't build your team's hopes on a player who gets hurt running to first base.

I came on site extra early expecting to see 1 or 2 or 6 articles regarding this player and subject. The plain fact that he was never even close to 100% and was allowed to work himself back into form and try and get healthy at same time is just a testament to the guys steering the ship.

I don't blame Royce.  It's crummy for him.

I don't understand the rash of lower body injuries the Twins suffer, nor do I understand fans, many on here, who think that one guy with limited MLB experience (Lewis, Keaschall, etc) will turn our team around.  I get being excited about a player but this squad has never been one player away from being very good.

FWIW, my imbeded Astros fan sent me a text impressed with how Royce was staying on the field late to sign autographs after the game. He didn't think he was injured or anything at the time. I thought I saw injury on TV but he couldn't see it.

Whatever it was, it wasn't what was in spring training. He was very emotional then.

FWIW. My embedded Twins source informed me that this is exactly how it played out. Signing autographs after the game vs what happened in ST with the whole season ahead? I would think that would be way more emotional. 🤔

The only thing more Twin would be hurting yourself walking back to the dugout after striking out.

I suddenly had an image of one of our sluggers trying to do the Bo Jackson and break the bat over his knee and it going horribly wrong.

Is the torpedo bat easier or harder to break?

I have Marty Cordova on the phone. He'd like to remind you of the time he had to sit out of a game due to a sunburn from falling asleep in a tanning bed

Jose Miranda would like help getting his Target purchase to the car.
