RHP Justin Sterner will in fact be the Athletics starter for tonight. So bulpen games for the A's and then Springs will follow him. This team is doing anything they can to get a W. They have lost 19 out of 20. Good god.

I am at the Twins game. It is a neat experience being in a minor league park for a MLBgame. France went out of his way to sign autographs and he came out through the gate to take pictures  with the small kids in the stands prior to the game.

Interesting note. I spoke to a worker in the A's gift shop. They totally shift all of the merchandise  back and forth between the A's and the River Cats depending on who is playing at home. It is a big shop and the River Cats are the SF AAA team and would be a conflict ...there are signs on the field for the players to take specific paths during warm up due to the field grass being used nonstop...no down time..

If there is one benefit of an opener, it messes with platoons. Wallner and Clemens don’t get starts, but they can come in later.
