Talking to Lewis right now.

He had some interesting  comments on Baldelli's new way of doing things.

Such as?

2 per game.  If you are correct then you get to keep that challenge.

Basically, you can get as many as you want as long as you are right. Two wrongs, and no more challenges

So, you're saying that I'm losing my mind for no reason? OK I guess I'll transfer my  anger back to the pro Yankee broadcast streaming through the YES network.

If you're not losing your mind for no reason occasionally you're doing it wrong.

That is the reason it won't happen. A large group of cheapskate owners don't want to meet a floor and will scrap the idea to keep from spending.

It's not the owners standing in the way. It's the MLBPA.

The owners need to grow a pair and take down the union. For the good of the game.

One reason the NFL thrives is because the owners neutered the NFL players union.

Nope. Wrong. Just wrong. When a cap is suggested, the players ask to see the books, ask for transparency, and the owners say no. They say no to a floor, too. There are two sides, and BOTH owners and players have to come to the table willingly on this and neither side does. And I don’t believe it’s good for the game to revert poor conditions because that’s what will happen.

Twins at Rays is the MLB.tv free game of the day.

Twins got 4 top 1 on 1 hit.

Good to see Julien with a pair of hits so far today.

No score in the 2nd of the game v Atlanta

Turned an 8-1 lead into a 9-9 tie with a clutch run in the 9th.

Festa gave up 5 runs. McCaughan gave up 4. Festa hasn’t had a great spring so far, so I’m thinking he’s not getting a roster spot. And McCaughan was signed to a minor league contract, let’s hope he stays there or is let go.

Two straight subpar outings for Festa. I know it's early, but he may drop back a spot or two in the pecking order. Matthews' injury on Thursday also might change who is in line to get starts and make it clearer that Woods Richardson and Paddack start the season as #4 and #5 in the Twins' rotation.

I think that’s what it was going to be anyway

I'm with you 90% of the time Chief, this is very much in that 10% zone.
About 1/5 of the league's teams exist to let their owners collect piles of cash without fielding a competitive team. Players looking to maximize their pay (they ARE the reason we watch) is only fair.
Like Squirrel stated, owners don't want anyone seeing their books and a huge amount of them don't want a spending floor.

Listening on the radio for the first time this spring.  Attebury has yet to come up for air.  It’s almost a frenetic amount of talking - completely distracts from the natural pace of baseball.
