Guess it is obvious why Rocco is considered a player’s manager….. doesn’t stress fundamentals, doesn’t chew butts, has the emotion and energy of a wet dish rag.
Rocco wants to be everyone’s friend rather than be a leader or boss.

Be a boss or hit the bricks…. so done with his mamby pamby listless leadership.

In the first inning Royce went to cover second base on a base hit to right field. Um, that has zero to do with playing a new position. Right now, Lewis is strictly a DH. I want Lewis to be a superstar or even a good player, but i can't help but remember all of the grief Julien has received playing a much better glove. And no I'm not calling for Julien.

It has everything to do with playing a new position. A position he's unfamiliar with. A position he doesn't react instinctively to, because he hasn't played there and learned, so that he doesn't have to think about which play to make, where/when to take a cutoff, etc etc.

The idea you can just go play 2nd base, without any experience, leads to a guy going to second base on a hit to right field. Or throwing home on a tailor made DP ball that gets you out of the inning with minimal damage.

But they had the play on to throw home, he should have turned the double play, but they were playing in to cut down the runner at home.  Would have been out of the inning with only 3 runs,

Actually, they were playing half way, so that if you get a hard hit DP ball, you still have that option.

Did you notice the infield in with it scoreless and 1st and 3rd?  Why?  Ball hit to shortstop, I want 2 out of that and last night notwithstanding, the Twins don't seem to cut down the contact play like they get cut down themselves on it.  Mindboggling decisions on defensive alignment so early in a scoreless game.

I agree this is the analytics nerds driving baseball decisions, I want to get 2 outs for 1 run.  They play in almost every time there is a runner on third and less than two outs regardless of score and situation.  Live to play another inning.

Bring the Dobber back up, we need a stopper! 😂

or a real center fielder  ,-  Kiersey-   is by far and has been the best option , but since he only hits left handed and not on the 40, - keep him down there - he just won player of the month also,  all on this front office and Rocco and his stupid  i-pad

I'm sure you watch every team in the league to form your opinion.

Do you watch Twins games?

Or listen to what the front office has stated?

It's not my opinion. They consider stolen bases less important to defend than the hitter. THEY HAVE STATED SO. They're going to put the focus on the hitter, every time.

No slide step.

Focus on the hitter, not the runner.

Catcher sets up to frame, with one knee on the ground, even with runners on.

We may stumble our way into the playoffs, but it’s not gonna be pretty if we play like this.

We got the losing streak taken care of last year, it’s all gravy this year!

In other news, Byron blew a fuse and was ejected by the home plate umpire. Apparently, minor league baseball is tough for Byron. Time to bring him back before he winds up suspended.

It takes a long time to learn every single position. The basic movements are pretty automatic though at a young age, younger than Lewis.

Well that's just great. Not like we need him to get back here with as many ABs as possible or anything.

How about one of the vets -- Correa, Santana, Pablo -- close the clubhouse doors and lay into some people if the manager is too scared/weak to do it.

How you gonna get tossed in a rehab game? It’s like getting fired on your day off
