Isn’t this the second or third time Vasquez has fallen down running the bases?

He’s rarely on them. Should be expected

One statement and one question:

. Wheeler has thrown 34 pitches in 2 innings

. If Jullian has such a great eye why doesn't he swing at close pitches with 2 strikes?

He thinks his eye is really good

Twins at full strength would make a good World Series matchup with these phillies, maybe

You mean Mets.  Not Philly.  Mets.

Man, Sim's command was right on in that inning. He's really moving the ball around, and when he needed a high heater, he nailed the top of the zone. I can see why hitters are frustrated. They have no idea where the next pitch is going, yet Sim can throw a tough strike when he needs to.

17-18 starts,  Kid has Saved this teams pitching staff , i never seen it coming ,  nice to see !!

Vasquez on second. Might take a triple to score him.

Vasquez on second.  ?  is he considered in scoring position ?

Good find on the pitch count. Ideally, you have him out by the 4th-5th inning and its a close game.

They are doing just that and have hit a couple missiles but no joy.

Perhaps Correa and Royce will render Julien superfluous.. or tradeable.

Impromptu poll: not having Martin in the equation how much more does SWR have to do to make the Berrios trade a winner?

Too bad the umps and the strike zone box on the tv disagree with him.  If doesn't learn to foul off questionable 2 strike pitches he can't be an above average (or even average) mlb hitter.

SWR 4 innings, no runs, 1 hit against this potent offense. His pitch count is basically the same as Wheeler's. His ERA is now down to 3.35. Starting to look like the real deal.

Not much. SWR is looking worthy of the trade right now.

Why are we so insistent on making outs on 2-0 pitches?

Same reason why our pitchers give up big hits on 0-2 pitches.

Really sick of Eddie being so passive with two strikes. Does he think major league pitchers are afraid to throw strike three? Ridiculous.

1.4 years of Berrios? 2 years like this and I'm good. Sim is only 23. 6 years of this.....
