The All Star rosters were announced and I am surprised that only Carlos Correa was named on the Twins and he is a backup.  Such a surprise for the 4th best record in the AL.

I’ve given up on the all star game.

Players do not reflect the best of each division.

and the rest of the mlb does not respect the twins.

Who else should’ve been selected?

USA Today sports had an article on All-Star snubs and had 5 AL players and 5 NL players and didn’t list a single Twin. I think a couple All-Star picks were questionable and several Twins could be recognized, but I don’t see a glaring injustice.

I was thinking we have several fringe all-star caliber players who could be an all-star.  Jax, Ryan from the pitching staff.  Miranda, Santana, or Jeffers or possibly Buxton if he is still top of the class defensively in CF.   I wouldn't think all of these players but maybe 1 other.

Lack of at bats keeps Miranda and Lewis off the team.  Jeffers’ production has dropped off.    BUT - Jax, Ryan, Buxton and Castro are worthy and one may make it to replace an injured player.   Santana has been surprisingly good, but not at an all-star level.

I’d agree, but skenes got in with fewer games on the mlb roster.

Lewis should have been named and replaced.

Quite frankly, it shows there is no parity in baseball.

With the way the starters are picked and making it a requirement that every team has a representative, you are going to have deserving players left home.

Without it, the Twins probably don't have anyone picked.  I'm going to get yelled at here, but I'd actually like to see voting go back to the ballparks.  Let the people who actually attend games vote.  I don't mean punch cards and hanging chads, put up a QR code and let the people who actually attend the games vote.  I'm a season ticket holder for the Angels and it seems to me that the people at the games actually get to know the players their team plays against better and not just their own.  Also, then if you want more all star representation then go to more games??  I know, I know that's not possible, but it's what I feel.  I just remember back when the Royals got the whole starting infield voted in because of online voting.

And Willi Castro makes two! Great news for Willi. Will the Twins add a third or even a fourth? For any outfield vacancy, I would think Buxton would get consideration. Miranda might have a chance as well, but choosing Westburg over him might have been that chance. A catcher going down could open the door for Jeffers and Jax and Ryan have posted good seasons.

While I’m glad for our players when they get the recognition they deserve, I still think the all-star game as a whole is just not what its name implies.

The All-Star game is a great idea, or concept, but it usually ends up being a stage for players there WERE great at one time, that no longer are playing at an elite level, plus favorites that fans pick, and of course the obligatory "sole picks" from teams that aren't represented otherwise. But even with those warts, it can be a fun game, But sometimes these picks are totally infuriating.

I can’t believe pitchers are still not wearing helmets in this game, or even put a protective net in front of the mound. Who cares if it looks stupid.

Also, I miss it when the game decided which league would host the World Series. The players brought a little more juice to the game. Why did they change that?

Yeah, they should use a Wiffleball.
