Paddack as a fourth starter, there's nothing wrong with it. The problem is, you already have 4th starters in Ryan and Ober and a fringe 5th starter in Varland. Oh, and a line up that has scored 11 runs thus far. Good times.

Innings limit is a problem, especially if you throw 82 pitches in 4 innings. Remember the archer/bundy days? Shudder

this team is going to be frustrating this year, only 2 hits so far and Varland at 82 pitches in just 4 innings?  8 hitters at or under a .250 BA, including Buxton and Correa with no HR's?  Actually I think there is only 1 HR so far this season,  Kepler 0 for 3 today with a .091 BA?

I’m not that upset about Margot coming in. He’s had success against lefties but playing for 1 run there when you’re down 1-0 has  an extremely low run expectation. Analytics will say that was a terrible decision.
Once again the twins are an analytic driven organization until they’re not. Pick one or the other. I understand that the lefty lefty matchup wasn’t ideal but to replace Julien for that was absolute insanity and the complete opposite of “analytics driven”

I think you’re looking at yesterdays box score

bad news, outside of the pitcher change, the results are mostly the same 😂

Kepler fails to move the runners

Only because Kirilloff for some reason doesn't tag on a deep-ish fly to center. Idiotic baserunning.

Or Keplers stout .100

Down to .091 now!  I could be too old but RF was a position that would be a good or great hitter with maybe subpar defense?

...This isn't rocket science. The manager is just totally brain dead.

Baldelli, a listless manager, is convinced that micromanagement is equivalent w/leadership. Falvey is content and encourages it. Ownership wanted them to come in underbudget. All is well on Main Street.

Would have been close I think

Gasp! AK gets an AB vs. a lefty....and gets a knock.

Prbably some thing to do with his above .300  batting average.

Borderline, probably could have made it IMO

Down two runs with the $33M man on deck, I wouldn't take the chance.

Sounds like Margot did that on his own. Worth a benching if so.

If he did it on his own, its because his confidence to start the season is hot - couldn't hit a baseball with a redwood tree right now. You'd think the manager would have some feel for that.
