Grand Slam (in lieu of game thread durin SP?)

I just checked the gameday for today's game, Lewis was up with 3 balls, and the next thing was, "in play, run(s)" and then words Grand Slam followed.

 

Expectations has been set.

I’m starting to think the Twins should ALWAYS load the bases before Lewis comes up. ALWAYS.

Say, runners on 1st and 3rd with two out, Lewis on deck. We get a single…runner on 1st advances to second, 3rd base coach HOLDS the runner at 3rd. Grand Slam.

Could be the difference between 1 run and 4 runs. Just sayin.

If I was the opposing manager and Lewis came up with the bases loaded, I might just want to intentionally walk him.

I consider Juien and Lewis to be rookies but veteran rookiess, unlike those that play in the second half of the game.

Well, if he is ever given an off day, let’s consider the possibility of him pinch hitting whenever the base are loaded.

It’s like “Big Shot Bob” Horry.  He took so many shots with the game on the line that he was bound to be successful some to reinforce the myth.
