How's Baddoo doing?

I haven't been following his trajectory (as much as i shoulda) since we lost him due to rule V.

Naw, let em go. Remember them fondly when they come to town. If the transaction was truly horrible you won't be able to avoid hearing about that player.

Otherwise just wait for the daily/weekly TD article lamentations about standard baseball moves.

In Baddoo news, he looks horrible in the outfield.

You said "swept."

I'll repeat my offer. 60-1 on any amount you want. How about my $6000 against your $`100?

Yes......very good one (seriously), I forgot they won the first one.  I'm a doofus.

Part of me wants to take the bet anyway because I can't admit when I'm wrong.

My frustration on losing the series stands.

There's still a game and 3 innings left of the series.  Can you hold off on the frustration until they've at least actually lost the series?🙂

Lorenzen tossed a no-no in his home debut with the Phillies.

I guess that's one way to get on their fans good side.

Took only 124 pitches.

I see a pattern with this Twins team ....

The Twins get swept. By royals  , win series against a better ten , the cardinals  , sweep even a better team the snake and are in jeopardy of losing this series ...

It seems we play better against better teams than the teams below 500 ....

Does that mean we have a chance in the playoffs  ...

My hope has just risen ....

The Cardinals have a worse record than Detroit though.

And his arm didn't spontaneously combust?

But on paper they are a better team , at least the line up is better  ...

Lineup may be better, but the winning percentage is .442 to .430.

AARGH.

I'm not overly confident about our ability to score at least 3 runs in the next 2 innings.  Except for the 3 runs in the 2nd, we've pretty much done squat offensively since the 4th inning of game 1.  I hope we're not entering one of those kind of streaks again.

If it wasn't for Detroit having our number  , Detroit wouldn't have a better record ...

Detroit continues to beat up on us  ...

That's baseball.  Sports even.

It all looks the same in the standings.

I know it's a hypothetical question, but why do we generally seem to have such a difficult time against some of the dregs of the AL?  Especially when most of our counterparts don't.

Detroit is better at every aspect of the game.

And seems to play with more passion and spark than we do.

But neither are the bottom feeders of the division.

Everyone plays with more passion and spark than we do.   But as I have stated many times, this team is a reflection of their manager.

We desperately need someone to light a spark under this team and/or not be afraid to kick some significant behind in the clubhouse.

Right now, we clearly don't possess any of that.
