But hey, it worked out so good for them. Hey, they signed him and selected him for the opening day roster, didn't they? If we're going to complain about them letting go of guys like Coulombe, we need to give them credit for signing guys like Castro and Brock Stewart. Castro is really looking like a quality asset. I love that his plate discipline has been improving recently. If he can maintain his 7.0% BB rate (career rate is 5.0%), with his speed and defensive versatility, he is going to be a very good utility player.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted July 8, 2023 Posted July 8, 2023 Leave it to a Twins player to hurt themselves because they can't run to first base without stumbling.

Oh, I'm not ripping them for the likes of Coulombe, either. Teams pick up and lose players who turn into something for a few minutes all the time; as long as it all washes out close to even, I don't get worked up about it either way.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2023 Posted July 8, 2023 This is now two straight years of Correa being generally terrible with runners on base...

I’m not at all sure if they would have even tried to engage today’s technology, however. I set up her MLB app on her TV and showed her how to use it (she’s out of market), but she figured out the AppleTV thing all on her own

Oh boy, I don't even know how to answer that. Right now, probably Castro but there's still quite a bit of baseball left to play in 2023.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted July 8, 2023 Author Posted July 8, 2023 Wow, the pitcher warming up for the O’s is huuuuge
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted July 8, 2023 Author Posted July 8, 2023 Didn’t that happen to Kepler not that long ago?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted July 8, 2023 Posted July 8, 2023 It has happened a couple times to the Twins, usually looking like the runner was inside the line. This play easily could have gone the other way.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted July 8, 2023 Author Posted July 8, 2023 And that’s the game and why Duran isn’t an All-Star

9moons27 Verified Member Posted July 8, 2023 Posted July 8, 2023 I guess a closer can go 2 innings without blowing up.
jkcarew Verified Member Posted July 8, 2023 Posted July 8, 2023 Not one off-speed pitch in the 10th from Bautista. Because why would you?

insagt1 Verified Member Posted July 8, 2023 Posted July 8, 2023 Ober was great again...was not rewarded. Mullins with a highlight reel catch against Buck. O's really wanted to win this one and didn't trust anyone to close it out but Bautista, who pitched 2 full innings. O's now just 1 back of TB in the loss column. TB really slumping at the moment. Neither team did much hitting tonite. The pitching was pretty good. (Arraez was 1-4 dropping him to .384..thought he might get to the ASG at .390, but guess not)
