Bump it back even a year, and I'd agree even more. Total rebuild should have started in 2021. We'd be well into Year 3 and have a pretty decent understanding of whom to keep as a building block and whom to drop. Who knows what we might have gotten for Buxton, too. Ah well, here we are instead. Ain't this fun.

Regardless of what happens tonite, it's quite clear now that the Twins are the best team in the worst division in baseball.  Which is basically the same as saying they haven't proven that they can play with the best teams outside of their division yet.  And please don't blame it on injuries!  It's a tiring excuse.
