Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 wow have to give it to rocco for bringing ober back out
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 Gotta tip your cap to Ober. Started off really rough, got out of it, and gave 6 IP against a tough lineup with 1 run. Well done young man!
Mortimerkenny21 Verified Member Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 Very impressed with how Ober buckled down and finished out the 6th!

I wouldn't know much about this game, as I went to bed because west coast games are brutal when you have small children.T In Eastern time, west coast games are brutal, even if your kids are grown and gone.

No words is probably the way to go. That grass is smoother than my carpet. Get used to it, you have 6 plus years to watch him do it on purpose. You will grow to appreciate it later.
cHawk Community Moderator Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 What do we suppose is Farmer’s total crop ratio?
Mortimerkenny21 Verified Member Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 We really could use some insurance runs.

cHawk Community Moderator Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 Imagine how good this team would be if they could consistently score in these situations…
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 16 times the Twins have come to the plate tonight with RISP, in 7 innings. 3 runs. Uffda.

RickOShea Verified Member Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 We give up too many more free outs than our opposition does.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 Ha. We got Gallo and Taylor for their fielding......... ENOUGH WITH THESE LEAD-0FF DOUBLES ALREADY!
RickOShea Verified Member Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 If betts gets that last pitch, it's a tie game.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted May 17, 2023 Posted May 17, 2023 Let's get rid of the righty on righty, move on to Freeman.

Why don't they? https://tht.fangraphs.com/the-physics-and-timing-of-the-infield-bounce-throw/ Article just lays out part of the argument, it's not faster unless you have arm strength to cut it loose on that line. Main reason is to control the hop on the catch. It's a choice for other fielders. And you will often see them do it if they are off balance. Easier to throw hard and hit that target and give an easy hop rather than taking a chance on an air mail or in between hop.
