Gallo's got 3 3-run homers so far this season, right?  Is he leading in the 2023 Earl Weaver Award? I think so.

Love to see him finish the year with 4 4-run homers.

Bit of a sno-cone there by Correa. Got enough of it to hang on though.

Whew, tough audience here.  :)  Red Sox announcers seemed a bit more impressed.

That's the nice thing about 5-tool players though. Even when he's not hitting much, he can still beat the opponent some other way.

The “error” that was charged was on the Royals right fielder when the Royals were in the funky shift with the RF  playing a similar position to where second basemen were playing last year. The right fielder bobbled the ball that got through the infield. He might have been able to throw Gallo out, but maybe not. I was surprised when it was ruled an error, now it is reversed.

Yes, they said that part of the documentation when the appeal was sent in was that no other outfielder has been charged an error in that situation.

Comically bad route by Julien on that popup.

Reminds me of a favorite thing I heard Tom Kelly dryly advise a player, in a slightly different circumstance in spring training some years ago: "Let's keep the 360s to a minimum, out there."

It being the middle innings, I’m visiting the other team’s radio broadcast. They noted that Turner has a gold and black “21” on his cap. Apparently all Roberto Clemente Award winners get that honor. That’s cool.

I think Tom Kelly would be a great guy to listen to, when he talks baseball. Other subjects, not so much.

Needs to be yelling “You got it!!”…immediately.

And I thought that was a casino freebie.

Our inability to knock Kluber out, benefits the Bosox's bullpen for tomorrow's game.  That of course assumes they need to get into their bullpen.

They gave Valdez an error on that smash by Julien.  Home town call - something tells me that ball if hit by a Sox batter would have been a single.

I suppose my post here shamed the official scorer.  They changed it to a single in the meantime.

Inability? 7 runs through 5 is usually enough to knock out a starter. Cora is letting him go. He's near 100 pitches so we'll see if he comes out for the 6th.

Reminds me of a story from the 1962 (I think) Mets. Spanish-speaking shortstop has a couple collisions with the English-speaker center fielder, despite the CF calling him off. CF is taught to yell, “Yo lo tengo.” Next fly ball, CF is indeed coming in, yelling his newly-learned phrase.

And is clocked by the left fielder.

This is what I was hoping to see from the offense against Boston. Kluber is completely cooked as an MLB pitcher.

And yet, we didn't sign him!

As the saying goes, there was no one in the bullpen to bail him out, so we got to witness Kluber relieve himself on the mound.

Yes, inabiilty. Adding a couple of more runs and Blubers squeezing Irish  Spring.

MAT nonchalanted that hit to CF, allowing a cheap double.

He needed to chalant it.

I always thought the correct term was nonnonchalant.
