h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 Speedy Nick Gordon can't even get to third base on the single to right. Deep right field and a throw to the plate. And Gordon can't figure it out. Yes. Perhaps the worst base running team in MLB.

Looked like Miranda put his head down and took off as soon as it was hit, and that was stupid too. But it fell for a hit.
RpR Verified Member Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 Time for Arraez to do his thing-- or not.

Looked smart to me.

So... "Miguel. Your knees looks like it's hurting. A stint on the IL may do you good. You did say it hurts now, right? Right?" Just my own speculation. Had this kid on our high school football team that politicked his way into being elected team captain. He showed up to practice after the first game with an ace bandage wrapped around an ankle, claimed he sprained it in the game. Missed a whole week of practice, recovered fully in time for the next game. Then showed up at the next practice with the ace wrapped around his left wrist; another serious sprain. No practice that week. Showed up for the third game, all healed up. Guess what, next practice the ace was on the right wrist. Severe sprain, couldn't possibly practice. The coach, starting to smell a rat, insisted he show up for practice and at least walk through the plays. Kid bravely showed up, racked with pain, the ace bandage now back on his left wrist. Coach gave him the boot. Shows you what can happen when the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing. There's a moral for the Twins in there somewhere.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 Arraez has strikeoutitis for him since the all-star break. 6 ks in 6 games

Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 I guess we could probably pitch around Machado here — woops retired him on a 107 mph EV to Center which also works
