Buck can hit pop ups to the infield with the best of them!

Could it be his latest thing to go wrong is eyes?  He keeps popping up on pitches he was crushing.

There's another way to do it?

Yes.  The classy way...with a straw!

Let's see if we can get 7 innings out of Smetlzer... would be huge for the bullpen, since Sands probably won't go deep into tonight's game.

Rocco sends Devin out for another inning, right?

Hopefully he'll at least see what Smeltzer can do.  maybe a quick(ish) hook?

83 pitches?

On a double header day, you have to, don't you?  Especially with a 5 run lead.  Just have someone warm if needed.

Devin Smeltzer needs to be in this rotation full time once Joe Ryan comes back. Archer to the pen or goodbye?

Yeah, I'd probably pull him if not for the roster situation and the doubleheader. I leave him in today.

Yes. Absolutely.

I agree he should, but how does he justify starting an inning at 83, but not the last start at 80?

Maybe see what he can get done with 15-20 pitches?

Well, he just got through the heart of the order and he has 5/6/7 coming to the plate next, none of which are even hitting .200.
