Really nice job by Stashak to get them through 2.1 innings. You can now go to the plan that you would use if your starter got you 5 innings. Adding on a few more runs wouldn't hurt, either.

MLB.com has blacked out even the game scores in Maine? You might consider moving; somebody in your state has crossed up the powers that be.

Last year, I already thought he had a pretty good eye at the plate and it has only gotten better. Now he also manages contact on a regular basis and gets hits. He could become a pretty good asset for the Twins. 

And yes, I also think he could start for some other teams. We have been spoiled with Buck but most centerfielders aren't exactly great hitters.

While I don't mind doing that (4-3 Twins after 5 innings): wouldn't it be easier to just open Gameday?

Btw, blackouts in Maine don't make sense.

One way to overcome concerns about descending into the roll of 'lefty specialist' is to get righties out.

Given that they're hitting .391/.417/565, Thielbar may be opting for the less desirable way, failing to get lefties out.

Got a laugh out of Morneau saying the Bethancourt PH was about the "respect," Oakland has for the Twins bullpen. 

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it had waaaaaay more to do with the fact McKinney is a lefty with a sub .100 BA and a few atrocious ABs already in this game.
