With this dumb giant left field it's really nice to have a CF playing there instead of someone slower like Larnach.

I really dislike this new left field in Baltimore. That corner looks like an injury waiting to happen and unless you totally crush the ball it's awfully difficult for a RHB to pull a homer there.

Dick & Justin talking about Varland v. Varland in AA, except that the game was rained out...

Yes.

But we don't know what that is.

 Copy that, thanks!

Okay boys and girls, early wake up call for me. I’ll be drifting off to Cory and Danny just barely audible.

Bring home the win!

Baseball is supposed to be a challenge; some team should build a new Polo Grounds baseball field, that would create a flush of inside the park home runs.

One would assume, but the Twins haven't said anything yet.

Thanks!

If Keegan Akin keeps this up through the trade deadline he’ll be a heavily valued player and maybe he’ll be a future Twin.

I kinda doubt all three things. He's never been good before, and I doubt he's actually good now (doesn't K anyone even in the bullpen). Plus he's only 27 and isn't owed any real $. There is no reason for Baltimore to trade him if he's actually good.

Granted, me disliking the higher, relocated wall is more like personal taste. But I would at least soften that corner.

Baseball doesn't get better when outfielders get hurt there in bunches.

I'm all for weird dimensions and what not, but I am not a fan of dimensions that are clear injury risks, which this is. Plus it just looks ugly.

Orioles built the new wall to attract starting pitching (fine, I think showing that you can develop starting pitching and know how to coach them would be a better idea), but what kind of right handed hitter is going to want to sign in Baltimore now?

Even if he strikes out here, Larnach looks a lot more comfortable than he did last year.

Keep those Costco kids in line tomorrow. Keep the White Sox fans away from the store!

Six outs to get. Coulombe, Moran and probably Smith available. Perhaps Duran?

Was thinking the same thing, but now Pagan is up. Really weird to me. Threw like 30 pitches yesterday and wasn't exactly crisp. I assumed the 9th would go to Smith

The Orioles and their fans (what few there are) seem simply to know that they are going to lose once they get behind. I remember thinking that about the Twins a few times in past years. It doesn't exactly motivate one to attend the game (or tune in to the broadcast).

Fantastic outing from Duffey. 4 swings and misses on 7 swings for the fastball. The curveball is still an above average pitch. If the fastball starts to show life again, he can be trusted in late innings. The velo was up a bit, but not a noticeable amount.

He just needs a track coach to get that butt moving faster on the bases.
